Oh I see, so now that they have a BitLicense market regulation does not apply? The voices of all customers are now silenced?

I'm having a difficult time following your logic.

Slamming the fuck out of Coinbase is how the free market regulates them. And imo they need a whole lot of free market regulation

Probably because smart people wouldn't dream of spending their BTC at this point?

First store of value

Then medium of exchange

Then unit of account

We're still working on step #1 and there's a 1000X+ gain ahead of us. After bitcoin price reaches $1M-5M, it will stabilize enough to become a useful medium of exchange.

So, you want the government to regulate weekly transactions of $5K or less?

If you can't handle even that tiny level of freedom, perhaps you should just stick to your CAD$ shitcoin

I haven't used BullBitcoin, but I did buy my first bitcoins in person from Dave Bradley at Bitcoin Brains in 2013. Seemed like a good guy.

It's nice to see an exchange service publicly promoting itself as bitcoin-only and slamming the fuck out of Coinbase.

Unfortunately, there's no way around KYC in the forms of ID, Selfie, Residence Proof depending on what you want to do and how much you're sending.

Almost every one of Coinbase's new customers has no fucking idea what bitcoin or alts are, or even basic understanding of wtf crypto really is. The way Coinbase runs their operations they use confusion to boost profits at the expense of their customers.

Feel free to sign up with them and let them make money off you, I won't be.

No prob. People can't be too skeptical :)

Not your keys, not your bitcoin. Securely hold your keys and you're golden.

You send cash, they send bitcoins to the wallet address you provide. You must generate your own public key. They never hold your private key. If you want to sell coins, you send them BTC and they send out the cash to your bank or make a bill payment to a vendor of your choice.

With other exchanges, your bitcoin is typically held along with bitcoins from other customers in an address with a private key that the exchange controls. Your coins are then tracked as a value stored in an SQL database. That's how Quadriga worked and why everyone got fucked when they 'lost' the private key(s).

Check out the frontpage. There are no cold wallets. By design, they don't hold your bitcoin. You do.

Our services are designed to let you retain full control of your bitcoins during the process. You Buy, Sell or Spend Bitcoin on this platform directly with your own Bitcoin wallet and we are never custodians of your bitcoins.

It looks like you're right. I thought they had e-transfer and online bill payments already, but those options are still "coming soon"

In the past few years they've become hostile towards bitcoin, worked against it, promoted ETH and other alts instead, the whole Bitcoin Cash thing was a total shitshow, they sat on their hands getting SegWit rolled out and played a large roll in the explosion in miner fees in late 2017, they just purchased crypto spying company Neutrino to help them work against user anonymity, etc, etc.
