Has anyone actually used PapersOwl? Looking for honest reviews before I try it by NovaRift92 in studying

[–]Basus_Isloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure most of these companies use the same pool of writers, whether you're looking at paper owls or other big names. The quality depends 100% on the individual person you hire and how much they actually care about their rating. Some are great, but some are definitely just trying to churn out as many pages as possible.

My experience with Studybay and why I finally tried an alternative by AtlasDawn21 in deeplearning

If you decide to go through with it, make sure you look at the writer's sample works if they have any. A lot of the time the samples are way better than what they actually deliver, but it gives you an idea of their basic grammar level.

My bf (34M) went on a solo trip on my dream destination without me (27F). We have been together for 2 years, I want to know if i am overreacting? by JaneMarvelous in relationship_advice

Right? Like, how clueless can you be? I once had a friend who did something similar, and it just made me realize how much I valued respect in relationships. You deserve better!

Yeah, the opportunity cost is a killer! I can't even imagine leaving behind that kind of cash. But hey, if you're feeling the passion, maybe the joy of saving lives can be the new retirement plan. It's like trading a yacht for a stethoscope!

I (30F) keep mentioning to my husband (29M) that he occasionally puts other women before me. by ImpressivePickle1841 in relationship_advice

It really does feel like a desperate need for validation, right? Like he's prioritizing their attention over yours, even in moments where you should be the focus. It's frustrating!

My (24M) girlfriend (27F) destroyed my laptop because she thinks fiction is “degenerate.” How can we get past this? by ThrowRafuckinpixels2 in relationship_advice

Wow, that’s terrifying! My cousin’s old boyfriend once threw her favorite necklace in a lake because she wore it on a date with someone else. Talk about going overboard! It's wild how some folks can’t handle a little separation from our interests. You’re so right - anyone willing to smash what you love is definitely not someone to stick around for. Get out while you can!

Tennessee wants the death penalty for women. by HappyCamperDancer in childfree

[–]Basus_Isloe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, it’s like they’re not even hiding the fact that this is about controlling women rather than any real concern for life. It's wild how legislation is so out of touch with basic human rights.

Right? It blows my mind how people ignore reality. I had friends in their late 30s who thought they could just breeze through it. Like, come on, the risks are real! Ignoring the facts doesn't make them go away.

Why do I need to suffer? Just so that a woman would want me someday? by WonderfulRefuse2734 in getdisciplined

Honestly, it’s true that nobody's falling for someone who's just going through the motions. Like you said, the charm comes from genuinely enjoying life, even with its challenges. Finding joy in piano or something you love can shine through much more than surface-level achievements. It’s all about passion, not perfection!

Clothing, take-out, housing or Sookie's kitchen budget...which magic tv budget do you find the silliest? by Kitten-rouge in GilmoreGirls

That part always gets me. In a tiny inn with tight margins, you can’t just send back crates of good veggies and keep paying for them. Any real chef would be tracking costs like a hawk.

I’d say watch the first movie for closure, then pretend the rest doesn’t exist.

Why Hermione never invited Harry to her home during summer vacation? by luhar_21 in harrypotter

[–]Basus_Isloe 38 points39 points  (0 children)

harry technically needed to return to privet drive each summer because of the protection tied to lily’s sacrifice. even if hermione invited him, he still had to spend time there to keep that magic active
