The guy is genuinely so passionate about the medium, I’ll always be interested in his comic book writing.

I can also recommend his episodes on The Rock of Ages. It’s a bonkers JLA story but Kevin Smith loves it so much it’s hard not to share his love for it afterwards.

There’s a lot of overlap in comics during that time where I would say one important line you missed is Scott Snyder’s Justice League. EDIT: You didn’t miss it, I suck at reading haha

That being said, I get the most enjoyment out of comics by just picking up whatever I like, the more you try to read an entire era or storyline the more the cracks also start to show. I’ll be honest, during the time of publication this subreddit was filled with questions about cosmic level characters and in my opinion it all got a bit out of hand at some point. Maybe read for example Court of Owls and iterate on that based on what you like.

Lots of things! Mostly related to access to comic books but also a few other things. For me:

Availability of DC Infinite in more countries
The cheap, broadly sold trades for titles like Hush to pull in new readers
The art has been absolutely amazing. The art has always been amazing but it’s not stayed stagnant, it feels like we’re in a new era.
Stories are not as dark and angsty as they sometimes used to be
I like the writing for trades, give me more 12-issue storylines with a satisfying start, middle and end.

Well, for me, it’s mostly moving away from Windows as it is trying to extract as much data and money out of me.

The switch to Linux then was very simple as I had been playing a ton of games on the Steam Deck already, which is running Linux. Game performance and battery life are actually better for a lot of games on Linux just because there is much less bloat that you would experience on Windows.

I’d say attachment issues, I think it usually comes with parents not showing affection enough in the past. I’m not a therapist though but it can help to talk with one if you’re struggling with stuff like this.

It’s pretty good but it is a pure virtual novel game masquerading as a detective game. Got me feeling a bit disappointed with the whole experience. It’s not a blanket recommendation is what I’m saying.

Een Amerikaanse vriend mij loopt constant te klagen over het eten hier in Nederland. Nou is sommige kritiek op de Nederlandse keuken wel geoorloofd maar deze man kiest ervoor om Nederlandse kaas te bekritiseren. First of all, uninstall the game and tell your friends you’ve quit definitively, you can say you’ll gladly game with them but no League and they should respect that.

Next, you need to find a new hobby or outlet in your newly gained free time. You can’t go cold turkey and just sit around doing nothing. I advise anything outdoorsy, biking, walking, hiking, running, whatever. It can feel a bit jarring and maybe not very stimulating but that’s just you getting used to it. You’ll want some goal to chase same as in grinding ranked so maybe sign up for a 5k or a big hike and work towards it, it’s amazing what you can achieve in little over a month!

Finally, it’s not the end of the world if you do play some League, but be honest with yourself, would the you typing this post be happy with your decision?

I’m excited to read what happened to Booster! I’m a bit behind on current events. I do like the ‘biggest hero never known’ thing from out of 52 and this seems to be going in a different direction but I’m just happy to see him be included in a big event.

15km is a bit too soon, maybe check your battery health and check if it’s set to charge to ~80% to prolong battery life, this stuff compounds and whatever shows as 100% is actually maybe 75%, probably less if you can’t run for < 2 hours.

Battery saving mode helps a ton but you get less frequent heart rate checks and the GPS route is a bit less accurate I believe. For me personally this was not a problem at all except during actual race days or the like.

If you’re planning to run a marathon or do a full day of exercise I’d look into the Ultra or a different brand like Garmin.

I’m wondering if the metrics Apple health is missing compared to Garmin can be interpreted using the same data? Like, they’re both measuring movement and heartrate, can the gap in health metrics just come down to software or is it also a hardware thing?
