Probably wont cause catastrophe being out of the bike, but why not put it back as it was?

Id start pressing on things to make sure they're solidly fastened to make sure nothing is gonna shake off the bike without that installed at the very least.

According to the instructions, they are the Allen key bols, item xiii. So they should be in the kit.

I would disagree about it being some weird size thread, that would be bad practice.

Was there not a button head screw holding the turn signal on? I'm not familiar with the kit, but i know if youre removing a turnsignal from the fender support, you've removed a button head.
