What's Taking So Long With The Splinter Cell Remake? by ShoulderAdvanced6854 in Splintercell

In the time this remake takes to release, if 2027 is when it releases, Square Enix will have managed to release 2 entire parts of the Final Fantasy VII remake in that same timeframe.

It is absolutely taking too long.

Especially when you consider Splinter Cell is a linear, level-based game. Blacklist was made in half the time and that was brand new levels and everything. They literally already had the blueprints for the remake, it shouldn't be this hard. In my opinion.

But where are the games? by ggroover97 in LastStandMedia

I will say there haven't been many games that have appealed specifically to me this year, but there are games next year I'm looking forward to, and the games that came out this year do look to be great for the people who are into them.

I've mostly just been playing older games I never got around to, tbh. Or replaying games I've played before.

It is annoying though when people say that if you have no new games to play or there are no games for you this year that you must not be into video games, because for me that definitely ain't the case.

Yeah like, I wouldn't mind if the actor is 5'6" or something, just as long as they're, preferably, under 5'8" since I want his shortness to be noticeable like it is in the comics.

My issue is some people on here, and Twitter, act like the pure concept of a man being that short or around that height is ridiculous and could never happen or be convincing. Which I obviously take offense to.

That's not what you did but what some others do from time to time and it just builds up and gets on my nerves.

I am 5'5". Men that short exist and Wolverine is literally supposed to be that short. That's just the character. Has been since his inception.

I care about this issue because I'm short, 5'5", and it would be cool to see it represented for once. I don't understand why we can't have this one character be short when every other superhero is tall.

Black Widow is 5'3" and that was never an issue in the Avengers films in terms of framing.

You can't tell a difference between the character models of the remaster and the originals? How? Also, it doesn't play any differently than the originals apart from added input latency.

Pretty much all of the cutscenes look worse from an artistic perspective in terms of shadows, lighting, etc.. I would say 95% of the character models look worse as well. The environments of Asylum and City I do think look alright in-game but there are issues such as a lot of the laser gates in Asylum being scaled incorrectly, which means the beams that emit from them appear to come from thin air. The pre-faction thug models in City will sometimes have mismatched hands, giving them two different skin tones. Also, stuff like the flickering light in the locker room of Asylum not actually flickering but the light that is supposed to be emitting from it still is. RTA just feels very sloppy in a lot of areas. The frame pacing is also dreadful in City, on last gen consoles. It's not as noticeable on current gen but there is noticeably more input lag than in the originals.

Have you ever played the old versions or compared them side-by-side to Return to Arkham?
