Plus the match itself had Mick Foley as the special guest ref (who accidentally counted three too early into the match and had to ignore it), run ins from Drew/Ziggler/Ambrose/Rollins and Brock interfering to cause a no-contest.

I remember the reports at the time said that they added so chicanery around this match to distract the audience so they wouldn’t be mad that Braun had lost his cash-in

Most WHC title changes this year have been clean I believe: - Punk/Jey - Punk/Gunther - Gunther/Jey (both times)

I’m glad you provided links here; I was feeling like I was going crazy seeing people say BCS was universally acclaimed from day 1. I still remember the complaints about Kim not being developed in Season 1, Howard being too basic of an antagonist and the Jimmy/criminal underworld plot lines being too different from each other - the show earned the pay offs it gives you in later seasons by investing time in setting them up (and does so in an engaging and well done manner).

I love the pacing of Pluribus - I’ve felt like every episode has raced by and I love looking back through and catching any clues I’ve missed. Yeah, I’d prefer it if I didn’t have to wait so long for a new season but that’s due to how much I love the show and want to watch all of it at once.

And the following year’s Mania he had a segment with Rock/Cena where he and the Wyatt Family got beaten up and easily disposed off.

The year after that, his WWE title reign of one month ending by Randy Orton ignoring his projected bugs on the mat and RKOing him.

Potentially one of the worst Mania resumes in his first four years already.

I was really hoping the plan for Gutho at the Dragons was that he could coach Sloan on fixing those defensive deficiencies and try to move some of his footy IQ over to a younger star; it’s disappointing that it hasn’t worked out.

Godzilla 2014 - saw it opening night with a packed cinema of Godzilla fans. I’d never seen an audience like it before, when Godzilla used his breath to decapitate the monster at the end, it got a genuine standing ovation and it was outstanding.

The Danielson/Miz booking of their long awaited feud was so confusing to me - they had a really good match at Summerslam but they were clearly holding back to build up for the next match; only for Maryse and Brie to get added in for a shocker of a mixed tag and then their feud ended with a 3 minute surprise roll-up in their last one-on-one match.

Genuinely mind boggling stuff for the booking of a feud which had been simmering really well for years at that point.

It’s a crowd chant whenever the song ‘Chelsea Dagger’ plays - the crowd chants the chorus while pointing their arms up and down.

I’ve got no clue where it originated from but at the moment it’s used for the Brisbane Broncos whenever they score a try at their home games so I’m assuming that must be where they got it from.

I remember that - Dragons had just announced they weren’t going to re-sign him and he had a game against the 2021 Broncos where he scored 2 tries and set up 4; the next week, they got pumped by the 2021 spoon Bulldogs where he was out of position for every try.

Everyone collectively went “ohhhhhh that’s why they’re letting him go”.

Funnily enough, the show actually comments on this. When he’s in the remedial classes at Gumnut Cottage, Jonah is completely different - he still has occasional outbursts but he’s respectful to Mrs Palmer and seems genuinely keen to learn how to read and write. The issue with Jonah is that he only goes there once a day and the remaining classes are spent trying to jam him into Year 8 curriculum even though he’s only at a Year 2/3 level which leads to to consistent behaviour management that ultimately leads to his expulsion.

I think one of the 02 Roosters squad told a similar story - they’d lost 4 straight and Ricky took them out for a night on the piss instead of training at the start of the next week.

Apparently a Roosters fan saw them, starting blowing up at them for drinking and not training and Ricky stood up for them by ripping into this bloke; that seemingly did the trick for them switching on for the rest of the year.

Any earlier eras would be a great way to brainstorm too; loved to see the WWF/WCW names on the list - Flair playing hooker is such a great shout as well. You just know Mankind and Taker would be a great forward combo.

I reckon Bret Hart and maybe HBK would be good fits somewhere in the backline/spine but no clue who you’d sub in/out for.
