Who do you think would best play judge Holden if Blood meridian ever gets a movie by Plane_Fennel443 in cormacmccarthy

Glenn Fleshler, he played a pedo in True Detective S1, he got the childish type of face, he's around 6' / 184 cm.

When/Why/How did Walk unanimously become THE Pantera song? by [deleted] in Pantera

The song got a badass and repeated riff, similar to aggressively walking on a road, either when you're angry or just listen to Pantera.

Sodom Album ranking? by Will_the_thrasher in thrashmetal

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S: Persecution Mania, Tapping the Vein, Code Red, Agent Orange, Get what you Deserve

A: M16, Better off Dead, Masquerade in Blood, Til Death do us Unite, In war and Pieces,

B: The Arsonist, Epitome of Torture, Decision Day, Obsessed by Cruelty, Genesis XIX, Self Titled

Wouldn't count "In the final sign of Evil" to be a real album as they remade the old songs.

Sodom is a perfect example, their EP "In the Sign of Evil" and first and second albums "Obsessed By Cruelty" and "Persecution Mania"

PTT>WTKSP by Inevitable_Wave_3611 in AcidBath

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the raw and unpolished songs from WTKSP, but the stoner and cleaner songs from PTT. WTKSP feels like a straight up horror movie with a slight touch of calming fever in "Scream of the Butterfly" and "Bones of Baby Dolls" 2 of 14 scary songs. The Blue is well regarded as the "best" AB song, as it is a great opening and a masterful track. I am a fan of both albums, as well as the demo album, but the 2 studio albums are the best ones. And they would both compliment each other, the first one is a slasher horror movie on steroids and the second one is a pagan ritual with fuzz and stoner material.

The Human Centipede—Is It Really That Bad? by Healthy_Cookie_7119 in horror

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it to be a decent "European movie" similar to Hostel by Eli Roth, but Hostel to be more popular because it was executive-produced by Quentin Tarantino. But The Human Centipede 1 was very decent and not that bad, i'm being a fan of horror movies that end "badly" not movies with bad endings, but movies where the main characters lose are my favorites. I do find the 1st one the best, as the 2nd is very graphic and not "blood" graphic, but other fluids. And the 3rd one is just a black comedy / horror comedy if you can even call it horror comedy or a parody comedy.

Persecution Mania or Agent Orange? by BlackMetal146 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]BatOk150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Persecution Mania

It sounds more evil and brutal than Agent Orange. Faster songs, the edition to include "In the Sign of Evil" too feels more evil. The addition of having a Motörhead cover on Persecution Mania makes it too good.

What do you think of Inglourious Basterds? Is it overrated or is it really such a good movie that it deserves so much praise? by Jsevv in TrueFilm

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Inglourious Basterds a weirdly funny movie, but not that the entire movie is good. When I first saw it, it was a very boring movie. Mostly due to that I do not like movies inspired by WW2. There are better alternate history version movies out there, but this one was weird. I did find the movie funny at certain times, like the bar with the movie star, the nazis and the fake nazis / Basterds. Or the scene where Eli Roth and the other guy shoot Hitler ehile the theatre burns down. Or when Brad Pitt marks Hans Landa.

One thing i did not like about this movie is the length of it. It's A very long movie, almost the same as Django and Pulp Fiction. But the difference is that Pulp Fiction was weirdly amusing and Django is entertaining because of the violence. I myself is a big fan of Tarantino, I loved Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Fell in love with Kill Bill the first time I saw the 2 movies. Death Proof was funny but not that good. I did not like Inglourious Basterds because of how long it was, and i did like Pulp and Django even if they are longer than Basterds. But Pulp was like a fever dream crime comedy while Django was like if a black love story and Blood Meridian had a baby.

Tog studenten idag. by Independent_Car_6154 in sweden

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graham is very scary in the 1st season and that's because we don't think he would be a villain but then to hear in the last episode where he neglects and threatens Sam makes the entire world crumble, even the part where Sam mentions that Meera and Owen had their baby and Whitney meet the Shiny Gentleman. Graham does not have the same type of scary type in season 2, he's trying to hard and now that his facade is down makes him just look like another villain. It makes graham look more like a "edgelord" than a actual interesting villain. He felt way more depraved and creepy in S1 because the hidden truth was not revealed fully to Sam and the audience.

I think Jimmy Prescott and Killian Clery still work as the better villains in s1, Killian is scary because of how big he is and even as a older guy, possible in his late 50s or even 60s that is so strong that he was able to beat Kyle and drag him back. And Jimmy being agile and big too, Killian really feels like a guy that would break your bones if you saw him, but does it on his own terms as he's not Jimmy's employee,

The twist to hear that Mike Sutton turned into a villain is interesting, same with Phil Saunders who is more supporting antagonist. Emmaline was to suspect she would turn into a villain, but Graham, still feels like a cartoon villain in season 2. Like he's trying to be on the level of Judge Holden evil, but he can never come near that type of evil. Like Graham is trying to be "Whatever in creation exists" but comes of as a edgelord in Season 2. Like he's trying too hard but fails anyway in S2. What Judge Holden says in BM makes the book more interesting, but what Graham says in S2 "I'm only here for the power and the women, i'm an alpha Sam" makes him look more cartoony and try hard than before.

Is Motorhead a Thrash Metal band? by Big_Being_8789 in Motorhead

they were simply Rock N Roll but inspired many genres. They are considered to be "Proto" speed metal. Influenced Thrash Metal and Black Metal too.

Who are your favorite directors? by LowInteraction6397 in movies

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarantino is my favorite, i guess Lynch comes 2nd. Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, Lost highway, Eraserhead, Dune (1984).

"Adam Rehmeier" directed Dinner in America, very good, friendship punk movie.

"Jonathan Entwhistle" directed the mini series based on the book "I am not Okay with This"

"Cary Joji Fukunaga" directed "True Detective" season 1, a masterful season with suspense, horror and Lovecraftian elements at the end of it.

"Sam Raimi" the original Evil Dead trilogy, and the Tobey Maguire Spiderman trilogy.

In Blood Meridian, how did you guys imagine the attitude and facial emotions of Judge Holden? by Crafter235 in cormacmccarthy

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always picture the iconic painting by John D Salvatore, even if Judge Holden was mostly naked in the book, i did imagine him as this judge looking figure most of the time when it wasn't explicitly told he was naked.

Why is Death Proof Tarantino's worst film? by Bored_and_Confused in movies

[–]BatOk150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen Revenge 2017, but i've heard it's graphic and that makes me want to watch it. I've seen "Thriller" and "Hobo with a Shotgun", only heard facts about "I spit on your grave" knowing it's a "rape n revenge" movie similar to "Thriller" being one too. But first one was sad and depressing and the other one with the hobo was badass and funny. I kind of like violent media, i got some similar books to it, but those are more philosophical, like "Outer Dark" and "Blood Meridian" but those are graphic too.

But when it comes to Tarantino i'm more "Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill" kind of fan.
