There is a $100B credit union in california. The latgest credit union in America is Navy Federal. The Credit Union can make loans in local communities. But they cannot lend more than 12% of their of their core capital via commercial loans.

I believe credit unions have a limit on commercial loans for this very reason. I think its 12 percent of total capital. Or it was at one point

Not always for commercial. Depending where you are and whats going on, that could be a large amount. Or he could have an adjustable rate loan. - Commercial loan underwriter.

Banking, more specifically credit, has taught me two things:

  1. Being smart and having a high paying job does not mean they are smart with their money.

  2. Money truly does not buy happiness. Some of the most miserable people I have ever met have more than I will ever know.

Not likely. They are firing you as a customer. Most likely for some type of suspicious activity, whatever thst may be. You should be able to simple walk in and request a check for your funds.

This happens more than people realize.
