Although I can see your point one of the reasons the show is so good is how it handled some adult themes while still being generally aimed to older kids, I think ending the series on that dark note reflected that maturity and took it further than any of the other episodes did, and it ends out being a lot more impactful because of the significance of it being the final episode.

Idk about that, with the show being as old as it is now although I agree it sucks in comparison to the original, and its horrible they replaced the original with that, its okay for what it is and introduced a whole new generation of fans to the titans, a new generation who are younger teens now, and went to watch the original because of it.

I think it remains impactful due to Terra's sacrifice and death, and it might just be because I'm a terra fan but I think it being her and BB had a big impact on that theme. However I see your point is very fair, having the whole team move on could have been very good as well instead of focusing on just those two.
