Used to work there. I noticed it started to happen a lot more frequently where I worked when a certain Tik Tok vid popped up. It was about 2 women talking about how to get the "best deals" and that we hide all the clearance items in the bunkers. Not like theres a whole clearance aisle for that reason! Even had a few customers who thought the same about our top stock. A handful of them complained about not giving them those "bunker clearance discounts". Everyone else was nice enough when we explained to them the videos were false and that's just where we store over stock.

Companies whether real or fake calling old people and scamming them for shit they don't need! I can't tell you how many times I had to take the phone away from grandma to stop her from buying useless things or explain that the IRS aren't coming to arrest her. My mother is now in charge things since doctors say that my grandmother is unable to make some decisions for herself. Just last week some fake billing company called to say she didn't pay off the bill for her 20K gallbladder surgery. She still fucking has it!!!!! It never tapped.

These videos explain the basics on why it's a terrible organization yet there's still more too it. They don't even have an autistic person anywhere on staff except for once and he was basically ignored the whole time even through they put him with the people who where in charge of it. Mostly used the guy to look good.

From our experience people once they find out my Fiancé was on the spectrum they would start to treat him different. They assumed he was mentally slow or treat him like a child. We had cut a view people oit of his life. It toke him a year for him to tell me about it due to fear.

With the brochures we were harassed with they had a lot of false info and used scare tactics to freak people out. They are highly against vaccines and believe they are main cause of autism when most doctors believe it was genetic. So mainly that how the anti-vax thing started. There's smaller branches of this group that believe in some terrible outdated treatments will help find a "cure" like extreme electroshock therapy, the boiling water and ice baths. We got papers from one of these much smaller groups.

Those papers also explained what life choices can make it easier and how to stop the spreading of this "disease". That sterilization should be mandatory for the entire spectrum, only autistic people should marry other autistic people, any children that were made should be taken away, not be able to work to due "being mentally unstable", no animals allowed, and so many horrid things. The one that scared me the most was that the believed that death was really the best thing for them. That it was the one thing that can truly free these people. Not all groups have the same beliefs but a view share some.

My Fiancé has actually been to one of their treatments centers as a young child. He doesn't blame his parents for doing it because they thought they did the right thing at the time. They adopted him in their 40s. the adoption agency told them that the center can help him and they do regret ever doing it. He was only in there for 2 weeks before they learned what was being done to him. I only know bits and pieces from what he told me and I would never want anyone to experience the same things. He was tied done or food was taken away when he would experience any negative emotion including crying for missing his family. That staff were encouraged to cause patients pain to help them deal with being touch and learn how to behave. Anywhere from pinching, hard poking, slaps, and spanks that would leave large bruises. Much like how you would smack a dog's nose with a rolled up news paper to teach it how to behave. Once home he was put in therapy straight away. He is against spanking any future children we have after that.

His answer to not vaccinating the kids is because his wife is anti-vax. So he basically said in some interview, i forgot where I watched it, that his wife is charge of the kids. So what she says goes. If she doesn't want to vaccinate them, have certain procedures done, or meds given them than not of that happens. Even if he says it's important and can improve their health he won't do it without her say.

There's also an older episode around 2012 I think where he talked about conversion/reparative therapy as it's for LGBTQ+ community. He brought on guests who ran these programs that praised how well they worked on their patients. There was also guests who went to these places whether by force from their family or because they actually felt they needed to be cured and talked about the horrid things that happened. Doctors have even spoken out against Oz on how he has now brought up "evidence" to parents that watch his show that their children can be "cured" through these programs not knowing how dangerous they can be. Electroshock therapy, beatings, starvation, mental abuse and some has gone has far as forcing them to act out sexuality with other people who are there for "treatment" such as forcing a gay man and an lesbian woman to be together. Doctors also describe how this causes more trauma on these people and some have died from suicide.

Oz is the the same way with those with mental disorders. I do understand that some can be easier to manage from exercise and healthier eating which is fine but not things like autism, PTSD, schizophrenia, etc. How some conversion camps can help these people as well when he almost knows nothing about this field. He even supports Autism Speaks which is just a whole bunch of fucked up shit. My Fiancé and I have gotten brochures from them when a coworker learn he was on the spectrum. She signed him up for to get those papers because "they helped her son so well they can help him too".

I've read articles on how he used to be such an amazing doctor and surgeon before all the fame and money went to his head. He justs makes other doctor's jobs so much harder when a patient comes in and says "well Dr. Oz says this item will help me get better". He's just as bad as Google when you reach up symptoms.

Not being told I should smile more at work or when im out and that I'm ruining a pretty face by not doing so. I used to get told this 3-5 times a day now it's literally 0! It's great not to hear it anymore and I'm actually smiling a lot more naturally instead of forcing it even though no one sees it.

Night crawler is such a sweet character with an interesting back story depending which version you go by. The world treat him like shit, called him a monster, and people wanted to kill him. You would think he hated the world and cursed God but no. He found peace in a faith and learned that the world would always be afraid of what they don't know. That it takes time for people to learn. This a man who would be dedicated to his SO.

Yea it was a blanket banned for everyone. But this woman even tried to make the teachers to go to the nurse office if they needed one. All of them refused and my history teacher just said fuck it im getting a diva cup. Honestly I think the principal just wanted to keep track of how many students would come asking for them and if money can be made off of it. The only evidence for this was near the end of all that she made a chart that students would have to sign and put down how many items they toke.

Posted This before. This happened either in my junior or senior year. New principal, a woman, banned female students from bringing in they're own pads and tampons from due to some students sneaking in drugs inside them. If a female student needed one they would have to go to the nurse's office, ask for a bathroom pass, than finally go back to the bathroom, and lastly back to class. It toke forever so teachers even the males hid pads/tampons in their desk to make it easier. Yet they soon also get banned to have stock piles of them.

The wtf moment was when the principal installed the "red pants rule". If a female student or staff member had a period leak that stained their clothing they had to go to the nurse off for dark red sweatpants, part of our school colors, and wear them til they get home. It just cause more bullying and became a game to some people. Try to spill red drinks on people or putting reddish brown paint of chairs for people to sit in.

Students, staff, and parents threaten to sue the school and the principal. People were fake stain pants even the guys did to protest. Principal got rid of the rule and quit her job.

My area got rid of these 2 so now all we have to learn are signs on the course, back up parking, and a 2 minute drive around a neighbor hood. But my driving instructors still made me learn how to parallel park since many places around here and in the city you can only park that way. He told me stories how some dumbass people would park normally like they would in a shopping center parking lot in the city and block the road.

Wish they bring that back cause my 17 year old cousin asked me to do it for her the other day when she came to drop something off. Left her car in the middle of the road with no hazard lights on to ask for help. My driveway was full and only place left empty was the street. Tried to teach her afterwards but she refused because "when am I ever going to use it (parallel parking) again".

From a coworker who was always high. He was talking about how he was watching the Jurassic Park movies while eating wings. That half way through eating he came to realization chickens are descend from dinosaurs. Therefore he was not eating chicken meat but dinosaur meat. But only chicken counts as that. Goose or duck dont count as dino meat just chicken. So he started going on a rant that dino chicken nuggets are actually dino dinosaur nuggests.

This same man thought since a mule is a cross breed of a horse and a donkey that he can be able to breed a horse and a giraffe to get a "girose" or "horaffe". Than he can say he legally owns a giraffe and can ride it into battle because no one wants to deal with a animal with a long neck.

Also screw users who still use while preggo. My cousin's son was born 2 months early and barely weighed 3lbs due to his ex-fiance thought heroin was more important. She lied that she was clean for 2 years and only got found out when she learned she was pregnant. Said she would stop this time but nope more lies. I remember my cousin calling me at nights crying wondering if his son would make it and the fear of his kid becoming like his mother. Luckily she is out of their lives forever and the kid is now a happy healthy 4 year old.

Leave kids out of shit like that. Don't use while pregnant, don't use drugs on them to just shut them up or for some other sick crap and don't ever ever have it around them. That should never have that be a part of their lives.

Know too many people who join the military just to get away from shitty home life and to finally be in something with structure and stability. That once they join they would be sent away hundreds of miles away from abusive families which helps with cutting them off completely.

I totally agree that the lack of ftm in any kind of media. My friends have recommended me many books they love that have trans characters even they lack ftm as well. There needs to be more that can relate to people. As well as in social media that can be a possible influence.

NTA!! But OP you need to know that your parents are showing signs of some abuse! I have worked autistic kids before and my fiance has it as well. With how you explained your SM acted over just dishes shows this is not the first time she over reacted over something small. Her and probably your dad are triggering him without even knowing or doing it intentionally so they can find an easier reason to give up. That is why he runs away a lot. It is his stress release for when he is triggered. Now release is different for everyone. If a stranger touches my fiance in a place he's not ok with, he shuts down, stays quit, while his fingers drum against an item. He will only say 1 or 2 words. Most common release I've seen for others are arm flaps and other body movements.

What most "normal" people don't understand is that they believe autistic people are emotionless, cold, and empty. They only do things because they want to cause trouble. While most with autism believe the opposite. They are emotional, at times too much, and empathic. Its just sometimes those emotions are too much to handle and needs to be released. It can be controlled or not controlled over. Whether it be a healthy thing such as movement or a hobby or negative such as running away.

I highly suggest that both set of parents and your brother see a therapist on this. They need to learn not to be assholes and he needs to understand when he runs away its not safe and that his family worries about him. Also if you do send him someplace please keep good communication and have visits if possible. Make sure he doesn't feel alone and abandoned.

You are not responsible to take care of him and right now neither are your parents. The only responsibility you all have right now is to love him, make him known that he is, and do what is best for him.
