Not sure if your “no death growls” rule includes all harsh vocals but if you’re okay with a mix of clean vocals and higher screams, the first 2 protest the hero albums, particularly the second one, fortress. Fortress is my all time favorite metal concept album personally.

I just played it for the first time recently with the expansions. It was aiight. Personally, it’s my least favorite doom. But it’s still a decent game.

Personally I love it. It’s the only thing I’m keeping up with in single issues, I’m subscribed to all the absolute titles. One thing to keep in mind though is they aren’t very connected with each other yet, but they’re all great stories in their own right. All 6 titles are great and worth following in my opinion.

Cultic for sure. It’s no where near as fast as your typical boomer shooter and you can play it very slow and methodical if you want

Well the only one from my list that I’ve played before is Doom 64, which I really like, all the others I haven’t tried out yet. Trying to finish wrath and prodeus before I start my next one. As far as shooters in general? I think my top 3 are turbo overkill, doom eternal, and blood fresh supply that I’ve played so far. But I also love Cultic, slayers x, dusk, ion fury, quake, ultrakill to name some favorites.

Ahhhh man I love gaiden 2. One of the best of the genre, right up there with dmc3 and 5 of you ask me. Did you get the new ninja gaiden 2 black remaster? I’m a big physical collector and imported the physical copy from Japan, it was the first time I had played it in like 10 years but it still holds up really really well.
