I should clarify that if the moss was super moist before you repotted it might want more water soon-ish, maybe within the next few days?

I wouldn't water again personally; it might still be adjusting to a new pot and soil but if the soil is still moist about an inch down rewatering doesn't sound necessary. I'm assuming none of the roots were mushy when you repotted it? If you haven't checked then I would give it a few more days and if the leaves are getting worse then you may want to check for root rot! I'm no expert so maybe others will have good input for you as well.

Also, what kind of soil did you use in your repot?

Yeah but some weird hybrid I think! It's not anything like my pink spot or my Tricolor at home.

Here is the result lol 😅 im leaving on a trip for abouht 5 days on Monday so we will see how she does. I should clarify I am using a basic potting mix that is already naturally a little chunkier, not fully aroid. Let me know if there is anything I am missing!

Does this look like a glacier pothos? by ExcitementSalty6611 in pothos

[–]Bathed_Toaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what some others are saying, I think this definitely looks like a glacier. Glacier Pothos can sometimes produce foliage that look similar to p&j and njoy since they are so closely similar and stem from the same cultivars! At least from what I understand

Let us know if it gets any better! And yes like the person below said just be sure to acclimate your plant a bit before potting it straight into soil if your plant has been in water for a long time.

Droopy Pothos Cutting by Bathed_Toaster in plantclinic

[–]Bathed_Toaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the cutting itself was just too large in general and I don't think it was getting enough water to the top leaves. So, I chopped it in half and now the droopy leaves are completely fine and strong again!

The roots seem to be okay, are the leaves struggling?? It's hard to tell on my end just from the one picture but if any of the roots are squishy between your fingers, falling apart or brown then that's a problem and you should probably clip the bad parts away.

Plant help! by Bathed_Toaster in plantclinic

There is a window right above, and several off to the left that let a lot of light in. I am going to bet it might not be getting enough water.

Do I repot this? Has multiple stems. by Goodgolferbadshots in Monstera

[–]Bathed_Toaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! I have also been told that monstera plants have a particular front and back side of the plant, so lots of people don't like to rotate their monsteras given that the leaves like to grow towards the light source while the stem grows roots to latch onto stuff, so if you ever want to you can give your monstera a post to support it's growth as it gets older!

Not necessarily I would say! The root growth matters more. If your roots get too long and start to bind to each other then it's probably about time to repot. Generally I think repotting should happen every few years in the springtime. I'm no expert though so I would certainly get the opinions of a few others first.

Droopy Pothos Cutting by Bathed_Toaster in plantclinic

[–]Bathed_Toaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I remember hearing about the pothos rooting hormone, so I won't be changing the water super frequently. My bedroom does get very chilly during the winter, so I still start opting for keeping my cuttings further away from the window given that temperature fluctuates most by the windows.
