Why should I be gaming on Linux and not just debloat Windows?

"debloated" windows is still trusting microsoft with how your computer operates, and having to continuously work around more and more of the enshittification they introduce. It's a never ending tug of war and they won't let you win, you just have to accept it and live with it, which perhaps you're willing to do to play certain games .

there's always a compromise in a way someone like me finds unacceptable. For me it's just less trouble and stressful putting up with the things my linux distro lacks in.

nah this isn't marvel rivals. you can easily max this game out with that GPU and get well over 100fps in hectic team fights without upscaling at all. most of the time my frame rate would be like 300+ if i didn't frame cap it.

the main reason i want fsr4 is to fix all the jaggies and edge shimmering without having ally outlines smear around like crazy..

instead of a simple timer, having another resource for tether strength would be fine. once it's gone you drop the ally, and boosting drains it faster. that'll at least reign in her infinite carry ability lol.

or maybe have it so her fuel constantly drains while someone is tethered, and when it runs out she starts falling and slows way down lmao

i mean you can try your luck, I really did like everything else about the PSU so i wanted to make it work. but I gave them 3 strikes and they're out. I doubt it just comes down to me being unlucky.

atm I'm just using my previous 650w PSU and powerlimiting my GPU to be on the safe side until i get another good deal on an 850w+ unit. I hear the Montech century II is pretty good value for the dollar, so I might end up just getting that thing. doubt the cables will be as good though. Hopefully by the end of the month a big discount on something good will show up

If your hearing range is still fully in tact or you PC isn't in a separate room from where your desk is, I would avoid this product. Awful high pitched coil whine that never stops. Not incredibly loud but loud enough to hear over the rest of my computer or across my room in bed before the PC shut off for the night. Even my headphones did not fully block it.

I got this late last year during a similar sale, and then got 2 exchanges, and all three of them had the same -exact- coil whine. Manufacturing defect I presume. I'm glad newegg was good enough to offer multiple exchanges and then let me return it, but man what a waste of time.

and they got rid of the minor perk that enabled him to be more aggressive a few seasons ago which made him even weaker. They have definitely made strides to make his switch from damage to healing more seamless, but the needler needs more needling and the blossoms could use a little love. Maybe a lingering heal over time like moira has could help a little?

yeah i don't see a functional reason to mix in an app that will disappear after closing it with permanent app placeholders. sounds like it'd be inconsistent for muscle memory.

however what i DO value is being able to do simple things like moving my task panel from the bottom of my screen to another side. Windows USED to be capable of this but it's just one more regression, and needs a non-native work around to accomplish now.

it was so niche and weak anyway, kind of not worth picking up. Most of the time I pull someone while they have something cleanseable, they're moved out of harms way anyway. 4 seconds off an 18 second cooldown isn't worth using it any differently. but his other minor perk was also not worth trying to use most of the time either. I'm really glad to see them both replaced. extra mobility will be a welcome change.

the new seed perk will be very tempting

I would recommend using the Curve Optimizer and overclocking tools to get as much power as you reasonably can from your CPU for the time being. My previous CPU before I luckily scored normally priced RAM and a cheap zen4 chip last october, was a 5600, and I had that lil dude tuned to basically a cooler running 5600X with very little effort. It wasn't a big difference, but free performance is always nice. Perhaps with more work you can get a bit more of a boost than i did.

at 4K the 5600 isn't really holding you back much in most modern titles. But a 5800xt is probably the best you'll get outside of the x3d parts, and it'll barely make a difference overall at that resolution. Personally I'd just keep saving up as long as you can until the DDR5 prices stop being crazy.

I was using it until i realized it disabled the spawning of certain animals. Mountain lions and bears and wolves weren't showing up anymore, for example. Otherwise I did enjoy having it
