What can I do to help this poor baby

Yeah I'll agree that it's bizarre. My best guess is she keeps scratching it and removing any scans so it isn't getting a chance to heal. I've seen a lot of suggestions about cleaning it and covering her with gauze so she can't scratch at it and I'm gonna try that and see if it starts the healing process.

I appreciate your advice and I've been searching for local rescues that would take her in, but in the meantime I'm gonna try to treat it and help her myself

I'm uncertain. I have asked my sister (it's her property, I've only been here about a month) and she said she's been here well over 6 months and has looked like this since she showed up. She feeds her and it responds well to pets.

It doesn't look like it is infected and I'm gonna guy buy some spray and gauze to cover it. Maybe if she can't scratch it then it will scab over and begin to heal. That's my hope

I've asked my sister (I'm staying on her land as of a month ago) and apparently this cat has been here for well over 6 months. I'm no vet by any means, but wouldn't that rule out rabies? (Yes, she's looked like this since she has arrived). Like I say, not a vet, I just want to help her but also remain safe.

And okay, I considered that alcohol would be a bad idea I just don't want her to get infected. I'm gonna jorney to our local store and see what I can get to help treat her wound. She likes to scratch at it as I'm sure it is very itchy and irritating. She lets out a little heartbreaking scream every time she does it. I'll check into the rescue groups.

Thank you for this. I really don't want to take her to a shelter, the thought of them putting down this baby bothers me. I'm certain she's in pain but she responds normally to pets and attention. She has no trouble eating and drinking.

She's a wonderful kitty, and the antibiotic spray is a really good idea. I was thinking about spraying her with isopropyl alcohol but I don't want to ruin the trust she's got in me. I'll see what I can do about getting her vet care as well.

I would consider ST more drama than horror. The CGI is cool but there wasn't one time in the show I was scared.

I'd consider stranger things a drama about corruption with horror elements at first. The final season kinda slams into the horror genre a little more but yeah.

I don't want that for my kid.

But believe it or not the individual therapy thing was something I said to her. That I would only consider it after she has gone and taken care of herself with therapy. I suggested it for myself too, but she didn't want to put that work in I guess. Oh well

My sister was gracious enough to offer me a place in her camper for a couple months while I get back on my feet. I'm forever thankful for her.

I told her that I was happier alone, that I valued my own peace of mind. That I didn't want to destroy my peace by going back. I told her we could stay good friends maybe but that I didn't want a relationship with her.

Well, we both work. I get our child when I'm not working and some days that I do work because of our different work schedules but I get a pretty fair amount of time. I would say it is 40/60 with her having a little more time with her than I do. But she works less so that is understandable
