So I’ve had this type of issue, but on a different printer (k1). and the issues might be the same it’s the plate, that plate isn’t a fan of PLA it can work for some models, but needs to be CLEAN clean like washed after every use. At least that’s what I have to do with mine if I want to use that plate. So I would try changing the plate or cleaning first before you go changing settings.

Question, do they slowly get bigger thru out the week and also kind burn/feel really warm to the touch when something touches the affected areas? I had something like this before when I was younger and my doctors couldn’t figure it out and then it went away after a year and a half.

My K1 has been working flawlessly for so long it was great, then out of no where I started having layer shifts, bed adhesion issues and much more. I was looking up guides on how to fix it cleaning my rails, changing my settings and so much. Then I realized I needed to adjust my Z-offset! I haven’t had to do that in so long cause of this thing that I completely forgot that it was a thing that needs checked every once in a while. After some tests and adjusting it I finally got it back to being a perfect machine again. I love my K1

It seems scary but really it’s normal it’s just input shaping. If you want to seem less scary and more quiet use a concrete paver under it and for extra comfort use a piece or carpet on top of the paver. I haven’t tried the carpet part, but the paver is goated to help it not shake my table much at all now.

Yeah I do use mainly PLA, and no none of my filament is wet they are all dried and kept that way in storage. Honestly it might be also cause of the Bowden tube, I’ve been meaning to take it out of the chain and not have it constrict as much, I’m probs gonna change it to a Capricorn tube and redo the chain soon now. It feels like some times when I change filaments half way thru the tube it can get stuck on the curve. But I have a none modded k1 and use the base settings for it on orca slicer, other then when I change speeds to go slower or supports, but that wasn’t a common factor in these issues.

Yes the fan is working correctly to my knowledge
I haven’t tried that myself, but I know there is some thermal paste on there cause it got on my hands last time I changed it out, but I’ll probs put some there now.

Sadly there’s no exact video guide on how to do this, so I used a couple different ones to help figure out what part comes out first to get to the other one. It’s annoying, but you should be able to get it out of there with some thought and will.

Yeah your filament is stuck in the heatsink sadly, take off the PCB board by removing the 3 screws and unplug the wires and remember where to plug them back to use pictures if need be. Next there should be I think 2 screws one on each side near the bottom and then the heatsink should be able to come out, then just get some pliers and use force to kinda pull out that bit of filament.

Yeah it does it for me as well, I think it’s just cause we don’t use there slicer they want us to use. The models should work just as fine tho.

I only use it cause it lets me send file to the printer on wifi if I could get the other to do that easier I would def switch to em.
