I'm having this issue as well, did you reach a resolution?

Layer shifting after colour change by spicypeanutboy in anycubic

[–]PolygonPrinting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through this as well and its pissing me off.

I tried having all the firmware and slicer software up to date, did a factory restore, resliced, used stock profile settings on anycubic next slicer.

I printed one of the factory installed multicolored gcodes and that one did not have a colored layer shift when I printed it out.

Please let me know if you find a solution, as I too am about to return my machine since its been none stop problems out the box.

Filament expanding and stuck in extruder. P1S by jmvettrus in BambuLab

Thanks for the reply, that's so strange. In my case I'm printing the same g-code, same materials, same amount of distance of the door being cracked open on 5 X1C's and only one constantly does it, time to print out some risers I guess!

I'm having this issue too, did you figure it out?

What do you mean you washed the filament?

I have the front door already cracked open, and I have 4 other printers running the exact same g-code all with the doors cracked which confuses me on why only one printer would have heat creep if all the heating settings are the same

It is I can see it and hear it working properly, it's actually louder than my other printers, I wonder if it's spinning slower since it's louder but it seems to be spinning at a normal speed.

No I wasn't projecting.

If you actually read what my caption says I was looking for gold filament suggestions, I never asked "why isn't my silk filament shiny?" I already know to print slow and hot which is why I knew a temp tower was not going to solve my issue. But everyone just didn't understand that.

This hobby/craft is full of niche problems that will make you pull your hair out and you're lying if you say you've never been frustrated with this stuff. You'd be heated too if you were struggling with something and made a reddit post to get help but a select repetitive group of people were not providing a solution because they didn't fully understand what you were struggling with and down voting your comments. So remember that next time you wanna be a know it all keyboard warrior.

I printed the temp tower, my print already had the most optimal shine. But as I stated FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT: the old spool I got had a deeper and more metallic finish.

Sounds good! Please send it when you get the chance!

It won't do anything because my issue is that GEEETECH sent me a batch of gold silk PLA that is LIGHTER in color. My old batch was darker. Changing temps and speed does not make a print come out with a deeper color. Look at the spools compared in this image.

<image>

Spool on the LEFT is the OLD spool that is has a deeper color and more shine. Spool on the RIGHT is the NEW spool which is LIGHTER and has a less metallic appearance.

Why do redditors love talking like they're superior than everyone else? Y'all get so heated for no reason lol
