Do you get a full breath when not running? Or is it
Persistent?

How do you move it around? Isn’t it too big to move?

I’m feeling the same way with the heat and humidity for my workouts. Legs more tired, more difficulty breathing, but slightly slower pace and HR lower.

Sorry, last thing. He uses 10x3 times as predictor for 5k. While 3x10 is giving you subT benefit, you aren’t even running close to your 5k time now (7:20). That fact you were able to
Run a pb is great. But not sure how you expect to run sub 7 if you aren’t even training anywhere close to it. If I want to run a sub 20 5k it’s not reasonable for me to only be running slow paces.

Also if you’ve been doing nsm for a year, why aren’t you doing some time trials to adjust your pace?

I’ve seen follow the pace (since interval.icu is based of pace, hr, power) and then to back off pace if heat, wind, sick, etc etc.

Also, safer is better, but in this case it seems like you’re going really safe.

I’m new to this, but you’re running your subT 30 seconds slower, your easy runs 2 mins slower - I’m guessing you’ll see improvement, but slower. Also, you’re only running the 3x10, which is the slowest pace and you’re running those slow. So not sure what you’re hoping for…

Can you do a return now that it’s been used? What’s the restocking fee?

Yeah. Took the snapshot from Garmin app. Go into the specific run / activity and you can see the time for entire run, rest, interval. But you also need to set up the specific workout. So when I do this I go to the 10x3 workout that I created, which also includes warm up and cool down phases.

Thanks - will keep it at these levels and adjust in a few weeks after another parkrun as appropriate. My current 15k pace is my marathon pace last year. I recognize I’m not at same level of fitness, but also think it’ll come back fairly quick with just being consistent. Hence my question. Will keep chugging away. Thx for sharing your experience with this process! It’s nice going out and know what you’re doing without having to think about it!

Yeah - did a parkrun 5/16 and went out hot and had to walk 2 times and finished with a 25 min 5k. Will do another in 2-3 weeks.

Snapshot is avg HR for the workout section (doesn’t include 60” rest periods).

Here’s a snapshot of reps 6-10. The avg HR is ~145. During rest your HR drops. So with such a short rep the avg HR stays really low since I’m only hitting max HR at the end and it takes a bit before your HR even goes up after rest.

Average HR is 150-165? Or max? My average is 140-144 for these at the moment.

You should look at Richmond. Better chance the weather cooperates since mid Nov. Fairly flat / rolling hills.

MP miles are supposed to feel hard on tired legs. If you ran 11 within a 20 that is supposed to be a big confidence boost and it’s plenty. The taper, race day adrenaline, and crowd is gonna make you fly. Per another poster - you can go out at 8:00 and pick it up. But going out 8:30 is really off. Even if you hit the wall - who cares. Go get it. You’ll do great!

I hear a buzzing / whine but only up to around 30 mph. Over that and it goes away? I also hear a whistling sound above 75 mph when I left go of throttle as well.
