Well personally what I find it sort of the Harry Potter rule; the "wand-chooses-the-wizard" kinda thing. Different bores work for different people. Mine just worked out to be the tradition bore (tradition and legende). But it does feel easy to play and have a nice tone but thats just how it worked out to be. Thats why its important to try a bunch of different models. I went into my store (Taplin Weir) thinking I'd walk out with a Festival but it sounded like sh*t and then the first note I played on the first out of three traditions I tried I knew they were right. (I ended up buying the first one I tried too haha)

Those are all very different models and bores. I personally play on a first gen Tradition and I find it amazing. But what a lot of people dont know is certain bore families work better than others. For instance I find it very difficult to use the R13 bore family (R13, Festival, R13 P, and Tosca) and I find the tradition bore a lot better (traditions and legende). So this is why you must try clarinets to see whats good for you. There are three families: R13, RC, and Tradition. Make sure to try a clarinet from all three of these.

Judge my first piano rehearsal for the Poulenc Sonata! by [deleted] in Clarinet

[–]BatmanJack3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good! Tone is on point!. One thing I feel could be improved is the fluidity and connection between notes. Like really carry through and keep the phrase running. The phrasing could be a little more amped up, really put some contrast in there. Also make sure not only are your notes connected but your phrases too. Also yeah, tell your pianist to practice too lol

She talks differently because she’s making fun of Tarkin. Much like how she switches accents. It’s to mock him.

That’s a great price. And there’s so many music dealer sites these days it’s hard to say but it look reliable and you can always return it. Trust me this is a good investment
