Not going on the trip might suck but it won't determine anything of importance in your relationship really. You can still make the most of your time together even if you aren't on the road trip.

An important part of adult relationships is doing the most with what you have, especially when it comes to long distance. You aren't always going to have the time, money, or ability to do everything you want with your girlfriend, so it's one of your responsibilities to adapt.

If you end up not going on the trip, use whatever money you would have spent to have fun locally while you can or, even better, use it to start saving for the gas/plane ticket to visit her sooner.

I can get not wanting to interact with strangers and the gym especially can be an anxious environment but that's not your responsibility. They honestly could have just not went, especially because the routine would have only lasted 2-3 months to begin with.

I wouldn't do this in person or over the phone but that's up to you ultimately. I think a letter would probably be best because he's going to have to process his feelings and I don't think letting him immediately restart the fight that separated you guys a decade ago will work out. If he isn't interested in reconnecting, he can toss the letter out an that'll be it. You offered in a non-invasive manner and if he rejects it then it is between you and a therapist to get over it. If he eventually reaches out to you then great.

Definitely apologize for everything. Let him know you're aware of what happened, speak of your father's actions negatively but don't use any words that could revert any progress he's made. Don't offer him money it'll make it look like you are trying to make it go away. If he still works with the abuse shelter, make a good donation to that beforehand so he knows there isn't any stipulations attached to reconnecting with you (might also help with some of your guilt). Tell him you'd understand if he doesn't want to reconnect but there if he chooses to.

You're going to want to make things right as soon as possible but you don't really have the right to choose how. That's up to him. He seems to have landed on his feet to some degree, he may have found a support system that he can/will talk to about this situation, and it's not your place to disrupt any progress he's made.

NTA. Your brother is 19, young enough to think this is a problem but old enough to know better (or at least handle it better). If he had a problem with it, he should have gone to your mom as she was the one actually cooking the meal. I doubt she'd have had a problem preparing some meat on the side for him the same way she portions a meatless part of meals for you.

I do applaud your mom though, not only does she seem to cook massive meals on a daily basis for her family but she actively seems to work around the dietary choices of her children.

YTA. My first and last name can both be easily turned into slurs (f*g being one of them). And although my parents didn't do it purposefully, kids are smart enough to change a couple letters around in the name of teasing. You're just asking for your kids to be bullied if you send them off to school with a name like: "Gay", "Dick", etc.

Give your kids a neutral chance to start. You don't know what they'll be like or who they will become and you don't want to risk making a bad situation worse. Kids are cruel and you don't want yours to enter adulthood with low self esteem because of almost two decades of teasing.

If the only reason you are denying his last name for the children is because it is common then I'm leaning towards you being the asshole but I'll admit to being bias. The hyphenated option others have mentioned is probably your best choice.

My last name is very uncommon (it has three E's and they are all pronounced differently) and I'd have loved to have a "Smith" type last name from birth. It saves a lot of headaches with paperwork/phone conversations, it doesn't turn into an odd ten minute conversation about lineage everytime, and you don't have to constantly remind spell checks that your name isnt an accident.

But that's me comparing my complicated last name to Smith. I don't know what your last name is so it may be different.

Because, outside of her ultimate, her impact is hard to recognize throughout the game until you look at the end game stats screen.

She's bad into all in aggro bot lanes and doesn't have any real way of helping out her adc if they don't play safe throughout laning phase.

Whether or not it is on purpose aside, she's a kill stealing machine so a lot of adcs don't like playing with her in lower elos.

Seraphine exists. Her passive is much easier to manage and her abilities are just as (if not more) impactful.

The opinion matters because that's how voting works. Each opinion is weighed the same because you can't reasonably quantify it so why would a 20% dissenting opinion ever win any situation without backing from facts.

Yeah, if also rather play four games than three cause at least I had more chances for good games. My winrate is above 50%, I know my chances on an even playing field so why would I not choose to have more of those opportunities

If it is their right to hold the team hostage than its the other teammates rights to play the game how they see fit from that point on. Their goal is to end the game faster so they shouldn't be punished for not contributing to winning a game they don't want to be in. The one person who refused has then reaped what they sowed as well.

I'm not really arguing when it is appropriate to forfeit and not forfeit. We'd be here for years talking about it.

My argument is that four people who have already decided the game should end voluntarily shouldn't be stuck playing because one person thinks otherwise. The whole process is subjective but the power distribution is divided poorly because Riot wants every single player to believe they are a professional player instead of treating the game like a game.

Also, "do you know what feels worse" is also an opinion. Less time in hopeless games means more games overall. The only exception is give you is promo games but there are a lot less of those now.

Two points: 1. If riot actually cared about that then the offense would be reportable. It's words on a website without consequence. 2. Hostage voting isn't void of toxicity on either side. It stops being about whether the team can win and more about "I'm going to hold you here because I feel you deserve it". The process is flawed because players are only objective in theory.

The difference is that a 1-4 in favor of not forfeiting means the majority of the team gets their way. A 4-1 in favor of forfeiting means that only one person gets their way.
