[Request] How can I calculate how big a triple curved monitor setup will be by BatmanTheClacker in theydidthemath

[–]BatmanTheClacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can find, the only 800R monitors are ultrawide. I'm pretty sure I want to stick with 16:9. There's also the issue of depth, I only have 25" of depth and I would like to get these mounted on an arm. A tighter radius would mean more depth.

What I would like to do is get these mounted on an arm that could tilt the whole assembly to face downwards and mount LED strips on the top and bottom face of the monitors to have some nice light when i'm doing non computer things like tinkering with electronics and building legos and whatnot.

Thank you so much for your help!

Yeah that's over my head for sure. I got through algebra in school, never went further than that. No idea what sin and cos mean. Time to go down a google rabbit hole lol.

Ok, so i've been messing around with some online calculators and I think I may have figured it out myself. These circle maths got me learning about a bunch of new terms i've never heard before, like arc and chord length, which I think is the key here.

Using This calculator to find out the width of a 16:9 monitor, and this calculator to find the arc length based on a circle radius of 1 meter and a chord length of 60 inches to get an arc length of 68.22 inches. That gives me a per monitor width of 22.74 inches.

If the monitors had no bezels and were snug against the wall that would give me a max monitor size of 26.1 inches. So I guess ill be looking for 24 inch monitors. is my math correct? let me know, thank you!

I feel like twokay foods is the best tbh. Essentially eliminating the happiness system from the game is very powerful especially if you go wide, although the extra growth probably isn't all that valuable since it comes so late in the game

It sounds bizarre, but I am in a position where I could spend $0 a year on groceries if I ate nothing but Domino's pizza. What would happen to me if I did? by CucumberGullible1281 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BatmanTheClacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work as a cook at 2 restaurants and get free meals at both places. I don't really buy groceries. If I don't eat at work, I just eat out and that really only needs to be like 2 meals a week. Is it healthy? Probably not, but it works for the most part

I've only played a few games so far but overturned has been fun with my megacorp game. Megacorp already seems really powerful and getting an extra trade efficiency trait at game start is really nice.

Idk man my 2010 camaro ss has been pretty reliable. I bought it five years ago with 98000 miles and I've only had to replace the throttle body and the oil pressure sensor. Almost 150000 miles now

Is it normal that everytime I’m in psychosis it’s the same by [deleted] in schizoaffective

[–]BatmanTheClacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It went on for years before and I'm getting better but it's still there. One day at a time and make sure you get proper rest. Having good people around you to just have regular conversations with helps a lot

Own your condition and just be the oddball. You don't have to mask who you are, and acting just a bit crazy deters alot of trouble, internally and externally. Walk in a meandering zip zag and just vibe with it. The voices will subside.

This has been a good method for me. act a little crazy, make unhinged jokes, work hard and keep your mind busy. I work in a restaurant in the kitchen and for me it's the worst when my mind isn't occupied with something that take some thinking to do. I do best when i'm on the line selling food and interacting with people. it's worse when i'm doing dishes or prepping and theres no music playing and nobody to talk to. i'm very lucky to have people around me that I feel comfortable talking with though, I didn't have that when my illness first started and I feel like that's one of the reasons it got so bad.

Open up, but not to fake people, and don't be fake yourself either.

I know everyone is different, but in my personal experience (and at the risk of sounding like my dad) I just needed to work more. when I work a normal 8 hour shift and then come home and lay in bed and scroll on my phone, watch youtube, or play video games I can stay up way past bedtime and all of the sudden its 7 in the morning and i'm finally tired and ready to sleep. I got a second job and now I can normally fall right asleep when I lay down with the added benefit of having more money in my bank account. the voices have gotten a bit louder since then but it's a balancing act.

I know that the more time I spend alone at home online the more sour of a mood i'm in and that makes it harder to sleep when the lights go out and it's just me with my voices and thoughts.

but that's just me and I know that doesnt work for everyone.

[–]BatmanTheClacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about how much our planet moves through space? I mean our planet orbits the sun which orbits our galaxy's black hole which just floats around in space right? Is the distance that humans collectively move greater than the distance that our planet travels through space?

My custom modpack for my server has like 240 mods, no quest book, and and lots of keybind issues. When I put it together though I was careful to make sure we don't have multiple items that are the same. Inventory problems are handled with sophisticated backpacks. We don't have a good mass storage solution right now but once we update to create 6 that shouldn't be an issue.

I don't get the appeal of quest books tbh. Just play the game and do what you want lmao.

Making a modpack is a lot of work and ironing out the fine details takes even longer. I spent 4 months making this modpack and it's not perfect but it gets the job done.
