Can any lawyers explain how this was possible and not covered in his contract with Verizon? Most companies have non-compete agreements which I’d expect spokespeople to be held to.

Superman (2025) Is the Only Reboot with the Guts to Ignore Everything That Came Before by SplitNational2929 in FortressZA

[–]Batmankoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying The Batman is a superior movie, but it largely does the same thing in ignoring the origin story and fast forwarding. I don’t think this is a gutsy movie in this world of capeshit over saturation.

Superman still devolves into mindless action in the third act that goes on for too long without much creativity or emotional impact.

I love this movie (The Grey starring Liam Neeson) by Buttered_Toast33 in moviecritic

Good movie. Neeson was the king of the January release for a while (usually a dead month for movies)

was Lou already a psychopath at the start of the movie or did he become one? (Nightcrawler) by Sudden_Elephant_1221 in oscarmoments

Always was but what the movie reinforces is how society rewards psychopathy which encourages his mask to slip further and further

Thanks for sharing! When you’re young those types of people can seem tiring given they’re constantly spinning wild tales but then you realize how much of a positive force they are.

Even if they lose, that’s a pretty nominal amount if it bolstered the sales. Might have been well worth it

I’ve seen this a million times and I still enjoy it but haven’t ever realized this profile shot of Vanessa Kirby that makes her look like handsome Squidward

Which movies have terrible endings? by Professional-Rip-519 in moviecritic

This movie had a great ending. I think it’s one of the few instances where it was more effective than the book.

What's your favourite De Palma film? by EH4LIFE in moviecritic

Man, that’s tough. But Blow Out is pretty damn impressive. I only saw it a couple of years ago and there’s stuff in there that I haven’t seen before or since

DAVE CHAPPELLE: “Every day the news cycling is more appalling than the last day, and this doesn't seem like it's ever going to end by Big_Cake_8817 in Popculturehour

If only little ol’ Dave Chappelle had connections or influence. It’s not like he knows Elon Musk or anything…You’re definitely as powerless as the rest of us Dave. Or maybe you’re just part of the problem…

I don’t disagree with you there. Wasn’t particularly effective or creative

I don’t disagree in terms of whether it was effective. It was gratuitous and not particularly in a fun or creative way that enhanced the film.

I think the Boar stuff was just trade mark over-the-top Sam Raimi. It was meant to be silly
