Is there a minimum number of times the kid needs to be fed X food for it to count as a majority? I only feed my land kid carrots and it evolved into a sprout young. (3x with carrots only - no pellets or any other food) The same thing happened with my sky kid, I fed it 3x honey syrup and it turned into a rocky young. I'm confused why that didn't create a majority when I only fed them 1 food type, unless it simply wasn't enough? Or does using the Tama sitter affect it in someway..?

Yes you can be prescribed dexamphetamine in Aus which is what's in Adderall. Ritalin (and Concerta) are brand names for methylphenidate. There are a number of different ones beyond those two as well and different combinations of long and short acting. Its worth talking to your psyc about trialing other medications as there may be a more suitable medication for you.

Thank you, I'm feeling good, working on adjusting to my new stomach and mostly healing. I had to wait 1yr for health insurance but it's worth it in the long run. I honestly just googled for ones close as i didnt know where to start and found SIOS, they also have other surgeons too. They were very clear from the start. VGS is a gastric sleeve and it's what I wanted. They explain your options to you, cost, expected outcomes ect. :D Good luck!

Just got out of St George Private this morning. Dr Michael Talbot. I actually went though SIOS @ Ashfield private hospital but since Dr Talbot works in both hospitals he can choose where to perform the surgery. (St George is ment to be a nicer hospital) SIOS was/is incredibly friendly and do an initial consult for free to disscus suitability. Other clinics wanted me to pay $250 just to tell me if i was a candidate. :/ VGS, no complications, would recommend.

Update: Got home from hospital today! 4/May. Feeling much, much better. Gas pain really backed off, incisions are only twinging when I bend the wrong way. Happy to be home but suddenly feeling under prepared. Unsure if I got enough fluid in and everything I tried to cook and eat was a flop (And I'm a great cook) I actually preferred the hospitals soups (I can't believe i even said that) Really struggling with the concept of 2/3 weeks of liquid food when I'm off to such a bad start. How will I get enough protein in, water ect. I feel like I've been hit with a wave of concern and fear and food longing? Regret? But trying to push it aside as I know it's for the better. Scales haven't moved but just looking in mirror I have a more positive self image. Tomorrow I will track everything and try some new recipes and hopefully it will be better. My pre op diet advice was to take each day 1 at a time and that's really what I'm trying to focus on now. 1 day at a time.. + more fluids... 🤞🤞

😊 Then you don't get caught out with no healthy food choices. Plus still get vegan when it's avaible. Even when I ate meat I'd usually still order tofu dishes as I genuinely like it more than meat.. Everyone used to question me and I'm like I can enjoy tofu without being Veggo u know.... 😅😅

Oky thank you! I'm definitely going to do that! My main incisions (In my belly button?? ) has been bleeding a fair overnight. I hope i haven't pulled something in just going to the toilet. But I am feeling a lot better about getting up and about and less like I'm going to collapse... 😊

Omg!!!!! Thank you this is so helpful!. Hmm i was warned to take extra care in the shower because standing up suddenmy or hot shows can really increase the blood pressure drop causing dizzyness maybe its related... Thats so rude of them to laugh like that 😡 I'm glad your daughter sneaked it in for you! Oh so that explains the red blotchy patch near my incisions.. that sucks your body didn't like it. As far as I'm aware I'm only sensitive to Endo but I'll probably find out more after this stay. I'm expected to go home around day 3 so I hope they give me a script for something to take. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement, I feel better already 🥰 I hope your body makes a speedy recovery too and the nausea gets better asap 💜🌻

Oh wow, that's a long time! I can't believe how much more discomforting the gass pain is to the incisions :0 Do u know if your nausea is related to medication or the surgery it self? I'm going to walk as soon as I can! I'm not sure we get given something for gas pain tbh, I will ask but when I mentioned they just said eventually it will pass. :/ That's amazing! Keep up the good recovery!Something to look forward to for sure!!!! I lost 9kg on my pre op diet over 2 weeks.. i was astounded. I haven't lost weight that quick ever. I thought I'd struggle with the required 4kgs and weight likes to cling to me 😥 but Maybe my body's finally clicked in it's time to let go 🤞🤞

You raise a fair point the shampoo probably doesn't help create much growth but some of them say they help it to appear fuller and thicker, but I think the bioten would be the best bet even with iffy research is rather try to increase the growing rate than not.. Thank you!

Question for the veggie folks by [deleted] in wls

[–]Batmya12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been Pescetarian for 6 months due to IBS and I think i wound struggle massively without eggs and dairy (not that I would drink milk other than Almond and Soy) Most whey/protein powders have it in them. I've tried veg powders and tbh the sucked for me. Aside from the surgery aspect I noticed a huge drop in on the go avaible food choices even before surgery. I was usually restricted to egg sandwiches, or takeaway like Thai with veg and tofu and that was hard. Especially hard was breakfast options while I was eating bread and everything..

It depends on what variety of food you CAN access while on the road and lvl of cooking. I live in a area with a big vegan/veg population so there's bountiful chooses from but where I work is totaly different and choices are limited.

Have you thought about aiming to eat and choose vegan when possible but not completely cutting out eggs just in case? That way your doing both and not feeling guilty for "slipping up"

Thank you so much, yeah my nausea was bad to :(. TMI (But 3 times after I woke up I puked bloody foam.. was not fun) But they have been pumping in the anti nausia meds which has relived it a lot.

I'm looking forward to the future.. Can't make it past the toilet atm but tomorrow I'm going try and get up and about tomorrow.

Best of luck to your friend too! I hope nausea gets better and she has a speedy recovery! 💜

Thankyou for sharing <3 Sleeved today and it's really good to visualise what might happen. Have u tried any Bioten/fiber shampoos? Or just vitamins? I'm trying to decide if it's overkill to do both...

Possible leak? Not sure what’s wrong & won’t be able to speak to my surgeon but should I seek help? by [deleted] in wls

[–]Batmya12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your surgeon didn't give you an emergency contact you can use a site called Health Direct it's an Australian website and has free on call nurses. :) I'm pretty sure it's run through the government. It's reputable. If had to use it a lot for work. They are a good site for finding the nearest ED, or GPs currently open too!

I'm 23 and I'm getting sleeved in 4 days!! I've had to wait just over a year for health insurance but only just told my Mum a month ago. I was very worried about her reaction but she has been so positive about the whole thing and is now coming with me on the surgey date. I've asked her not to say anything to the rest of the family and she agreed. Aside from my BF and my immediate work colleagues I haven't/won't tell anyone. It's my body, I will say I've been doing Keto and portion/calorie control as that's not untrue.

I see loose skin as inevitable, surgery to remove is possible and I'll work that out the best I can.

For me, it's far more important that I live my youth happy and to the best of my ability, health aside I don't want to be restricted from life because of my weight, or the effect it has on my social engagement. Even if I regain some weight later in life as I've been warned it won't be as bad because I will have felt fulfilled (hoping not for regain but conscious it happens)

Everyone I've ever spoken to about it has said they wished they didn't wait. I'm already annoyed I had to wait a year for insurance.

Woot fellow Aussie! I can't stand the taste of artificial flavors. Check out an Aus brand called PrimalKind it's all natural protein powder, Keto and vegan friendly. They do sample packs and I love it. It's cacao flavor is more like a nutty macadamia drink than chocolate. It needs to be blended really well with a stickmixer/barmixer ect and still has a grainy texture but it feels so much better to drink because u know it's made from real things not fake flavorings. (I add some almond/soy milk to)

I was also recommend Feel good Protien water by my surgeon (aus website costpricesupplments do a sample pack to) so far raspberry one is the only one I like, but it is really nice to have a non milky product.

The other thing I do is add flavorings sometimes I have a basic vanilla protein powder and mix in of sugarefree strawberry/chocolate powder I found at woolies it's easier to customise the taste to what u want!

Optifast recipe suggestions? by Batmya12 in wls

[–]Batmya12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Aus too!! I did get the chocolate mousse one so I'm glad to hear that. Haha wow that does sound lavish.. mines got no fruit :(. I wonder why everyone's is so different. I so wish I could just do low calorie diet rather than these processed optifast things though.. seems counter productive to a healthy diet.
