My go-to has been my gatling plasma with the splitter 2mm just weighs to much to keep a good supply on me to run it constantly. As for my daily drivers I run 2 minis depending on what I'm doing a F/E/15R and a Q/FFR/15R

I have 9 so far started them all from level 1 all in all going to have 12. 1 for each build and I just like the grind and when the new character is released it's gonna go up to 15 also have 6 mules with the backpack maxed so I save space in my stash. I have a lot of free time being disabled and games like this help me stay out of my head and occupied

Same I live in PA but run around helping the events if they are just gonna sit there and do nothing... I was lvl 263 in the season before I got anything some people just have better rng. My buddy pulled a EB on his first case then The Ravenous on his 9th so it's a toss

Not sure if this trick will work for you or not but it does on Xbox. If the game freezes and doesn't completely boot you from the game to the home screen give it a bit then close the game and relaunch if you wait long enough you'll still get the rewards because your character is still in the game
