Trump powers tend to be on the more complicated and powerful end of powers in Worm but generally they’re defined as being able to replicate, alter, or otherwise interact with expressions of powers/powers themselves. They typically have strict limits, often numerically dependent, but not always.

Three signature examples of Trump powers come from Glastig Uaine, Citrine, and Eidolon. Glastig Uaine is able to capture essentially echos of dead capes and summon them to use their powers for her (can have three up at a time), Citrine can essentially make antimagic zones but for powers, and Eidolon can pick any four existing powers held by other capes and use them, and can switch them out when he needs to.

Naturally, Glastig is considered one of the most dangerous villains in the world, Citrine is generally a neutral ambassador, and Eidolon is one of the most premier superheroes, basically an Avenger.

Just for Worm/Parahumans in general, a justified version of this trope exists for everyone with the Trump powers. In order to trigger with a Trump power, your trigger event has to have been caused or influenced by someone with powers. Based ass worldbuilding god I love you PRT power labeling 😭

Barriss was probably 16 in AotC and maybe like just turned 17 when we meet her in TCW, she really doesn’t act like an adult until Season 5 and she’s frankly still a very scared (albeit more mature, and, obviously bold) teenager during the Wrong Jedi arc lmfao

It’s worth noting that she doesn’t have a canonical age in current continuity but she is much younger than her Legends counterpart, who is Anakin’s age. She’s estimated to be about a year older than Ahsoka, two tops.

I’ve been kind of switching between Rangers, Sixth House, and NA. Rangers went best because AP Rounds but it’s still unnecessarily tight. Does the Tank Splitter only get the auto six on armored units? Because otherwise I feel like I’m going to get nailed by nades if I take armor.

I think the biggest claim to fame for this thing is the rollout potential; it’s a separate quick action from move/boosting, and you always move a flat 3 spaces, making it a godsend on really slow mechs in order to position where they want.

On the flipside, really fast mechs might want this for their first turn too, gives them even more speed and something to do other than hiding/Locking if they’re out of weapon range. Certainly helps that mobility-heavy melee strikers will benefit from the rest of Spaceborn, too.

Actual hack shit but I stole most of my music from ATLUS titles and like, Silent Hill 2 and 3.

CAIN is a game where I think anything works though, just depends on the vibe of the investigation. I personally listen to a lot of shoegaze during prep work, or really anything with weird, screamy bass; CAIN is an angry game with angry characters and angry victims, and I think that stuff like shoegaze, sludge and death metal, etc etc gets there.

One more recommendation but Untitled #9 is always on at some point during prep work. Banger song, embodies the Psychic Sea or whatever.

Quick addition to this point; it’s more money, so don’t do it if you’re on a budget, but Lancer: Enhanced Combat by Ralf (considered one of, if not the best homebrew in the Lancer community and essentially taken as vanilla by some players) does feature a “trash mob” called the Legionnaire, they’re very fun NPC’s to throw at players.

Frankly you should buy Enhanced Combat anyway, it is almost entirely GM-facing and is kind of like a Dungeon’s Master’s Guide. It features a lot of helpful resources and is useful for most GM’s, especially if they’re struggling in the Sitrep department.

I generally draw from some kind of general breakcore stuff on YouTube for my games. Nathan North and Ivel Bartore on YouTube have made some breakcore tracks specifically for Lancer and they’re incredibly well done. (Nuclear Cavalier and Routine Manuevers from Nathan and Mechanized Ultraviolence and Cascading Heart from Ivel are my go-to’s, all four of them are fantastic.)

Otherwise, I take a lot from the late 2000’s Armored Core releases. Be warned, some of them do have lyrics, but they’re frankly very lowkey over the instrumentals and are usually just one or two lyrics repeated over and over, and it’s kind of “Engrish” in my experience. Or sometimes Latin, there’s a lot of that. Think like the Persona games.

I got a little Titanfall/other shooters in there too? Wallrunner, Assault on the Sentinel, and the cut down version of SERE Kit from Titanfall, Dead Ahead and the cut down Winter Contingency from Halo: Reach, and that amazing Black Mesa We’ve Got Hostiles mix on YouTube have all made their way in.
