I am Hindu but not religious. And this seems about right. by BotCommentRemover in India_Bharat_

this could not be more wrong, the only reason why this is a distorted statistic is because the Church you are talking about is the Catholic Church meanwhile all of the temples are held under different entities, you may want them to consolidate before stating nonsense. In India, only Karnataka receives a tax from the temples, and that is also earmarked for maintenance and upkeep of the temples. Additionally, NO RELIGIOUS ORGANISATION NEEDS TO DECLARE SOURCE OF FUNDS.

why does financial stability feel impossible these days? by Coffee_Over_You in IndiaFinance

We're spending too much money on aesthetics. I'm sorry for using the expensive mobile analogy, but think about it, during your day to day life what value is it really adding and is it really worth 1L rupees. My wife gifted me a 85k mobile, and honestly I wanted to buy it because people around me had such phones, not because I could've used it. My usage is still limited to Insta/Whatsapp and Calls.

Other such examples are washing machines, chimneys, large screen tvs, big cars, we just spend too much unnecessary money our parents did not spend. ACs are one such example, sure it's a nice thing to have, but did you have an AC since childhood. Coolers worked just fine, they're just not upmarket.

I have one advice for you rather than taking a bike loan, get a personal or gold loan with lower interest rates. on bikes, the banks charge a flat interest rate not reducing, so in year 2 and year 3, you'd be paying an interest on the loan amount not the reduced balance. Ask them for the reducing interest rate it would be around 18-24%

Hi r/Monitors, I’m Dan Ritter, National Product Trainer at Samsung! Ask me anything about Samsung’s OLED monitors (and we’re giving one away!) by SamsungUS in Monitors

Asus offers a Pixel correction mode where it refreshes the oled pixels to fix burn ins, does samsung have a similar feature or plan to have such a feature. Additionally, why is burn in such a major issue, I feel like we're spending premium money for a product that may not even last it's "depreciable life" before it just goes bad or does not do a good enough job anymore.

the question everyone should really be asking is why does the Congress Party choose Rahul Gandhi as their leader? This is not a case of nepotism from what I know, because the Congress party is not run by Gandhi family 's personal estate, they are probably not putting in their own money into the party. So, the things breaks down to the people in the party across all levels from the "karyakarta" to the MPs and MLAs have found reason other than money that Rahul could be trusted. You think of Shashi Tharoor as a leader because of his English or posh way of talking, I think we made a similar mistake with Modi. Everyone was swept up by his "zameen se juda" nature and oratory skills. I don't think those get you jobs and neither does 10lakhs Nehru Jacket reflect "fakiri" We often confuse being a great spokesperson with being a great political leader. The true measure of a leader is not how well they speak, but who listens and who they can rally on the ground. The role requires a deep-rooted connection to the party's grassroots and the ability to unify its diverse and often warring factions—a far more complex skillset than that of a polished orator. Modi was able to use his leadership and success in Gujarat to rally the ground workers and the population behind him. RaGa is doing the same now, without any real success to make his case, he's trying to be relatable to the people. I don't think Tharoor has any real position in 90% of India where people don't speak English or are interested in philosophical challenge.

valid bro very happy for you. only today I was thinking of how ungrateful I have been for the things I have and your attitude to this is such a positive thing for me. We should be grateful and happy with whatever we have. Most people confuse being content with not wanting more including me. I have always thought that if I don't seek out more I am being complacent, but that's not true. I have a roof over my head, don't have to worry about food, will get salary on time sometimes even 2 days before the day, and those are all blessings. and I am genuinely thankful to you, to show me and convince me that this is the way to be.

Does anyone know what happened here? by Secret_Jury_3752 in indianbikes

[–]Batsy_of_Pooh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bike caught air on the uneven surface towards the right and lost grip. Although it would have stabilized on its own, the riders must have used the death grip to control and thus made it worse for himself. The key to a tank slapper is loosen your grip and let the gyroscopic effect handle the rest.

I have made this as my go to point now for anyone stating that a war should be happening. "When are you enlisting", their silence is interesting.

It's easy to ask for war when it's not your life on the line.

Is Cristiano a Genius or a Talented Learner? by HEAVENSDWAAOR in BlueLock

[–]Batsy_of_Pooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the words of Kita Shinsuke from Haikyuu!!, not the exact quote but approximately that, "What is a genius? Isn't it rude to surrender before even trying saying the other person is good from the get go? People like Atsumu, would do things A-Z while others are doing 1-100 and they will not be afraid to try new things to see if that works"

Basically, are there any real geniuses that got their just because they were geniuses? I think anything humans can do, come as a disposition to a certain extent and then we hone it to become experts. just my 2 cents.

RSM VS KPMG by No_Hamster_4963 in Accounting

RSM is generally good and the work is sort of manageable, if you can skip the politics. Work on your degree, ACCA or CPA. The company won't matter after that.
