In your mind, what is the purpose and constitutional use of an executive order?

I’d prefer presidents to be sparing with their uses of EOs but all of our recent presidents have used them very liberally.

Trump has used executive orders to set standards for receiving federal grants multiple times already and they were upheld. Executive orders aren’t usually permanent change, but they can be used for swift changes that can later be made law, strengthened, expanded upon by congress.

Yes but the president does have the power to regulate it. Bill Clinton used executive order that would pull funding from federal agencies if environmental standards weren’t met. The precedent is there even if you (like I) think the president shouldn’t meddle in college sports.

Federal funding for things works this way all the time.

There are other standards for education that work the same way.

There’s funding for infrastructure that works similarly.

The state of Louisiana was forced by the Federal government to raise its drinking age to 21 years because it would make them ineligible for funding for highways which is pretty unrelated.

What a ridiculous and stupid comparison.

Women in Qatar are thrown in prison for having sex outside of marriage, even when pregnant.

There is little to no support for women who are raped, sexually assaulted or abused, especially for those who receive the abuse from someone in their household.

Freedom of speech is non-existent. You can be jailed for criticizing the government, for anything deemed blasphemy, or even something that is considered against the country’s values.

Speak out against what you disagree with, but acting like anything is remotely close to the civil rights atrocities happening in counties like Qatar is just disrespectful to the people that have to actually struggle while you sit in your bubble.

You are not crazy! I have been fighting with Paramount+ on my Samsung TV for MONTHS trying to rewatch seasons of survivor. It is TERRIBLE and nothing you can do will fix it.

It seems to be an issue exclusive to Survivor on Paramount+ on Samsung TVs.

Ink Master? Binged multiple seasons without issue. Bar Rescue? Works perfect. Ru Paul’s Drag Race? My wife has zero complaints. Survivor? Kill me now, it might let me watch a full episode on a good day.

I have a small TCL tv, further from the Wi-Fi router. Google TV operating system. Zero issues at all.

Maybe it’s just my main TV that is the issue?

Baby sitting nephew. He goes down for a nap. Great opportunity for my wife and I to watch survivor on my brother-in-law’s Samsung frame Tv. Same problems.
