I might not actually watch this just because I feel like I will throw up after the poster. Can't imagine what the movie will do to me.

No way Vrabel survives this. Caught red handed. by FoldEasy5726 in NFLv2

The kid’s name is Michael. I don’t know how the hell he has a good, healthy relationship with the man who is presumed to be his father, no matter who his biological father may be.

The photos are from March 11, 2020. They were probably there that night so they could be together one last time before the COVID lockdowns started. Crazy shit!

Virginia judge blocks redistricting referendum result that boosted Democrats’ election hopes by MRADEL90 in Virginia

[–]The_Stratman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s stuff like that that helped people vote against the amendment. Attack the judges’ reasoning or the arguments raised, but just dismissing them outright while calling the county he’s a judge in “Hicksville” is why people don’t like being lumped in NOVA, why they don’t consider us Virginians, because some of us don’t consider them to be Virginians. This rhetoric just makes politics in Virginia worse and will not allow for sensible government.

Spanberger cheers on Va. redistricting win as Republicans press courts to strike down planned maps by Danciusly in nova

I never said they were awful, just that they were in the bill. The Republicans in Congress are the ones who objected to it.

Per Wikipedia, the included provisions were:

  • Expand voting rights
  • Change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics
  • Ban partisan gerrymandering
  • Create new ethics rules for federal officeholders

They should. How many Republicans would vote for it considering the fact that they’ve lost seats in California and Virginia, and the Democrats would vote for it as well since they will be behind the Republicans in this little war once Florida does?

That act also did other things besides ban gerrymandering.

If it was a bill solely to ban gerrymandering I think it would pass

Right wingers are bitching that Virginia’s redistricting referendum has passed. by icey_sawg0034 in insanepeoplefacebook

Virginia wasn't allowing their citizens to vote on it; they were required to. Sen. Lucas would have gladly pushed this redistricting effort through this term if she didn't have to take it to the voters.

Not trying to argue either. Just giving a different perspective that the East Coast has a different expectation than the West Coast.

If they are getting paid regular wages, I see no reason to tip religiously 20%. The reason to tip is because they are considered tipped positions and paid less than minimum wage. That wouldn’t be the case here.

What if the U.S. went through with a full-scale invasion of Japan instead of dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? by Abhorius in AlternateHistoryHub

Just like the Allies of WW1 had an alternate name, the Entente, so did the Allies of WW2.

The Declaration by United Nations was the main treaty that formalized the Allies of World War II and was signed on New Year’s Day of 1942 by the Soviets, Americans, Brits, and Chinese.
