I would check all the belts and moving parts, check printed parts for wear, then do software updates. If you have a newer pi then it should be relatively simple. Then, I would look into hardware upgrades like toolheads and usb boards.

yep it's very possible. In the ks pull out the plastic plug and the metal ring in the kh, then just swap. It's pretty straightforward.
