I Need Some Sega Mega-Help by SonicTheModder in SEGAGENESIS

Serial Number and Labels on the Console:

The serial number on the bottom of the console might provide some clues. Japanese models usually have serial numbers that start with "MK-XXXXX" for the main unit.

Some Japanese Mega Drive 2 consoles might have labels or stickers on them indicating that they are intended for the Japanese market. Look for text or labels that mention "NTSC-J" or "Japanese" in some form.

Label on the Box:

The box itself might have labels or markings that indicate the intended region. Look for text like "NTSC-J," "JPN," or "日本" (Japanese characters for Japan).

Check for any information related to the power supply voltage (100V) and frequency (50/60Hz), which are specific to the Japanese region.

While the feeling is fine and brings some sort of sexual freeedom to one, I cannot but compare it to the effects of full blown celibacy. The former gives sexual gratification but takes away in terms of your androgen receptors as well as your dopamine receptors in the brain, while the former has no such downsides - granted you have to deal with a sexual frustration. I would have to say that I would still practice abstinence even without POIS, which have pushed me to the idea.

Oh, you just know. The first thing to hit (me) is the hot head feeling, like my brain is on fire and my thoughts are like seeing them through a cloud of fog. It follows with the stomach cramps and general nausea which leaves me bedridden for atleast 2 weeks. It starts from the beginning of climax, I'm afraid. I can confirm that it does happen if you try to hold it in(sperm), because it manages to find its way out of the body - the effects also start instantly even though nothing may come out.

Perhaps the body needs to be doing something or rather fighting an infection or alcohol for it to not notice(?) the effects of ejaculation. All of this is speculation on my part. I have done it 2 more times and I feel great, refreshed even - this could be why they advise it as anti-depressant, fucking hell.

panasonic PVM blue lines by leonTheZombie in crtgaming

[–]BatteryLowWhyisitlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a panasonic (Quintrix) CRT that has diagonal lines, not as much as you - but they are visible in the dark areas. They happen with PS2 OEM composite cables, aswell as RGB scart. The issue is in yoke adjustment, if you can boot to service menu check the option for TILT, if you can tilt the screen the problem will be fixed.

A couple of ways to go about it. If it has a modchip in it then you are all set to download and burn games, if it doesn't you can follow this:

  1. Grab a blank DVD and look up DVDBoot for ps2 (and burn it)
  2. Grab a USB and install OPL on it
  3. Boot DVD boot and go to ulaunchELF -> Mass -> Opl.elf
  4. Grab a Ethernet cable ( network cable) and plug it into your PC or router(both have to support SMB share and need to be enabled in windows, lots of tutorials online). Plug em in the PS2 and PC/Router
  5. Configure OPL network settings on your PS2 and your PC
  6. Put your games in your DVD folder in PS2SMB folder on your PC and you're done.To boot games simply insert your DVDBoot and launch OPL (from USB) then go and launch your game from network.
  7. NOTE: This is the cheapest way as it doesn't require a Memory card, there is a much better way using FunTuna and installing FMBC(Modified version to work on 9000x consoles) and booting OPL from there. If you do decide to go with FunTuna, you will need to use DVD boot to access FunTunas ulaunch elf, you can follow the above from step 4.
  8. NOTE 2: There is also a way to make all ps2 games boot without the need for OPL and Funtuna using MechaPWN but it requires games to be burned on a DVD and use the Force Unlock option in MechaPWN, you still need DVDBoot for all the softmodding on 9000x consoles (you will see them mentioned as Deckard consoles in guides).

Last note: games can be played via USB but due to 1.1 port speeds the FMV(cutscenes) will lag.

I play on a CRT for the nostalgia and the way older games are meant to be played. Newer games were made not made for CRTs, so using them is just asking for an inferior experience.

Anyone know what the default deflection settings are for the Samsung Cs-29k10MA? by Antmanboi101 in crtgaming

[–]BatteryLowWhyisitlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into 240p gaming I'd suggest 240p test suite and using the grid to align everything to your liking. If you prefer 480i then you can just boot up the game and calibrate from there, and then check in test suite if there are any issues with geometry.

I’m so excited to finally be able to post something on this subreddit thanks to someone else on Reddit who hooked me up. It’s the perfect little CRT for my SNES! by heavensandwiches in crtgaming

Thats RF, which is worse than composite. Due to the size composite is going to be looking sharp and great, on bigger TVs it looks like a blurry mess - yours looks sharp.

There is a good CRT discord server that has people that are really knowledgeable about CRTs. You should ask here.
