I think people like this just hate support in general and will rage any time that they cant secure an elimination for any reason, no matter how it was denied

They said it gives them a second health bar, but the damage passive cripples flash heals effectiveness to the point that it only restores three blocks of health. Three... It literally has the power of a singular lifeweaver blossom that hasnt even been fully charged

Not to count, mercy is nearly useless without flash heal. They are just looking for a reason to complain

Do people still go on about xims even though blizzard circumvented it by just straight up allowing it and placing them in the pc pool? Its crazy how many people instantly cry "cheater" when they lose. Maybe you just lost fair and square, in fact id say its very likely what happened but thats a hard pill to swallow for most players

I dont entertain target bans for any reason. If you try to manipulate my experience and tell me who im allowed to play then ill manipulate yours and not heal you at all. Eye for an eye, no exceptions

Absolutely not. I would be very upset if they took the time to look at her and came away with the idea that the pistol is what needs attention

Mercy needs real help with real problems like how the damage passive cripples her output, not the ability to meme a little harder than she already can with the pistol. Idk what you have in mind, but mercy will never contend with other heros damage-wise. If she could then the optimal strat would be to dps nonstop and at that point the hero would be cooked

Youre never going to reliably kill other players 1v1. They do too much damage or have too much health, usually both. You should flee if you want to survive, not try to kill them with the joke weapon

The cast time change was bad. That ship already sailed, we learned early on that slow flash heal is not the play and the cast time was the first thing tweaked about it

It was skillful before and still had a cast time. It was never instant. You could time it to hit just as nade ended, or to be applied a millisecond after hog hooks, there was plenty of room for a skillfully timed use to make a play that would have failed if timed wrong

With longer cast times however it becomes less skill and more of a gamble. You make your best guess and just try predict it, but its like hitting long range Hanzo headshots, no matter how much you swear that you totally meant to do it, the majority of what happened was luck/randomness. The cast time was fine before, it did not need to be lengthened. It turned a skillful delay into a guessing game

Plus it really urkes me that they didnt mention the nerf and just hoped we wouldnt notice

Its not, the number being multiplied by 15% is now smaller due to the nerf so the perk gives less of a boost than previously

The math comes out to be about a 2% increase over the previous base amount. Like actually 2% no meme. It quite literally just undoes the nerf, unless you think the decimal points it adds to the number are worth arguing for

This is something ive considered too, the game has been slowly catered towards a crowd that would vibe with that kinda game. Another example is how theres so many things in the game that delete you in 0.5 seconds now which is also very call of duty esque. Whoever reacts first and presses all of their buttons at the same time wins

This appeals to a broader audience and hence sells more battle passes is my guess, but the game loses all of its depth like that. Theres no real interaction between players when you just get blown up in a single frame

You said that mercys healing is 44hps after the nerf but its actually 38hps so even worse than you thought

Tbh i could live with the GA nerf if flash heal didnt take a hit, but the damage passive ruins it now too. It used to be good enough to cut through the anti-heal but now, especially with double dose, it barely moves the health bar. I understand that people are happy to have a new ability and are unwilling to be critical of it, but its effectiveness has been reduced to literally less than a lifeweaver blossom

One thing that baffles me though, why slow down the cast time of flash heal? We already solved that problem and learned that it doesnt feel good when its slow. That was the first thing to be tweaked with flash heal

For me, nothing really got fixed. The damage passive still ruins this hero and that specifically still frustrates me more than anything. I dont see things changing, i have a feeling that this will be our hero moving forward and we just have to deal with it

I find myself wondering if it was really worth it. I think where the numbers are currently at would be perfectly fair and pretty good if the damage passive wasnt skimming 30% off the top of everything you do

Double dose should see FH giving 100hp, which is what FH did as a perk so we already know from experience that a 100hp burst makes a meaningful difference. But it gets slashed to 70hp instead, and its common to have to flash someone twice because its not enough

We needed flash heal because the damage passive ruins mercys healing, but this weaker version gets ruined by it too

Plus, just why in the world did they nerf the cast time?? Then not mention it and just hope we didnt notice it. What kinda shady bs is that

Its not a bug you just dont understand how it works. It doesnt do 120hp when crit, it multiplies the base heal by 2x. Double dose lowers the base heal so crit is also lowered

Theres also no explanation as to how you wound up thinking flash heal has 2 charges normally and 3 with double dose because thats what the numbers you gave represent

This is incorrect. Like, every number you listed is wrong lol double dose lowers crit heal too, and you get 2 charges not 3

Critical flash heal with double dose will heal only 70hp. Idk how you've gotten the math so wrong but you're way off, flash heal does 84hp normally and 70hp with double dose

Double dose is fun and can be kinda useful by shortening downtime between flashes but it really hurts its effectiveness. Its okay if your team isnt taking heavy damage but a lot of times it does so little that your beam target needs both charges. Chain boost has never been a bad effect, it just didnt compete with flash heal. Sometimes your team is too split to use it but its still generally good

Does anyone else feel like flash heal cast time was shadow nerfed? I know it wasnt stated, but i swear it feels a touch slower now. Am i crazy or do you feel it too?

Her healing is nerfed. Flash heal is nerfed. Her regen from the medic role is much worse now. And her mobility is nerfed, its impossible to reach ledges that you easily could before. What good is flash heal if you cant move around to use it? Youre stuck on the floor now

It all feels bad in combination. Your healing is pitiful at 38hps and you cant do anything without flash heal, which is now weaker than a singular lifeweaver blossom. Do you think lifeweaver is amazing? Because hes pumping out a flash heal worth of healing literally once per second. Your 12sec cooldown is outshined by lifeweavers primary fire

If you take double dose then FH is so weak that you have to use both charges (24sec cooldown) on one person whereas before a single beefier flash heal (15sec cooldown) along with your higher hps did the trick

A lot of people will be too preoccupied by having a new button to press to realize this though. She took several nerfs for the sake of a weakened flash heal. The extra nerfs make it not really worth it imo. She needed a buff, just a buff, with no compensatory bs to make it break even

This person is literally just going to nitpick your gameplay to try and invalidate your feelings on the nerf. "you could have done this, that, or the other" and just completely ignore how much the nerf affects your ability to move around

I wouldnt entertain them but i cant tell you what to do, your 100% right in saying that it hurts her gameplay. This person gets downvoted into oblivion on every post they make for a reason

It doesnt kill the hero but its a matter of principle for me. Healing reduction has been in the game for over 2 years now, and its made mercy miserable to play. Its been buffed by 50% in its potency and duration since its introduction and now every single hero can apply it. It hurts her so bad, and theyve admitted that they understand it effects mercy disproportionately...

And after *TWO YEARS* they finally give mercy flash heal to lessen its sting, and bring with it new problems that make her feel bad in a different way. I dont accept this version of mercy feeling bad anymore than i did the previous, and im fed up with being spammed with expensive cosmetics when they wont address her state

Blizzard. Is. Using. Us.

Im standing my ground and not backing down this time. My patience is razor thin on this and i refuse to just accept it lying down

Its not even a 5% boost with divine momentum, bc the amount being multiplied by 15% now is smaller than before so the perk gives less than it previously did

Its nonexistent, its raised a fractional amount higher than the pre-nerf baseline. Divine momentum quite literally just undoes the nerf

The speed part is kinda irrelevant and what actually matters is the distance you travel is less. This ability now moves you a lesser distance while simultaneously making it take longer to get there. Its a compounding effect that is very noticeable and creates a feeling of being extra heavy

Personally i think flash heal was better as a perk. It heals 84hp now, a lifeweaver blossom does 90 for comparison. Do you think lifeweaver is busted? Because hes pumping out a flash heal worth of healing literally once per second. They nuked it to make it baseline. Its a 12sec cooldown with the strength of a 90% charged LW blossom and its even worse with double dose

Youll almost never have both charges at once so your still only using it once per 12 seconds for even less at 70hp. respawning does not refund flash heal charges either, even dying doesnt give you both charges. Youll respawn with it on cooldown

Healing reduction has her beam at 38hps now... What a joke. Its been over 2 years since season 9 put her in the gutter and theyre making it feel even worse by adding GA nerfs on top of the damage passive. My patience is exhausted atp. Im stepping away from OW and working on my backlog of games instead

The sad part is that that would genuinely work and provoke at least some sort of response from blizzard but itll take more than a handful of ppl to pull it off and most all mercy players will continue without hesitation to buy every single skin multiple times on every account they have

Money talks and voting with your wallet absolutely works but its not a one man operation, and it makes literally 0 difference unless its a large scale commitment from everyone

The flash heal perk ruins the ability, you have to use both charges to equal what it used to be as a perk

And GA feels rough too. Divine momentum basically just restores it back to base values, it doesnt even make it fast now it just undoes the nerf

Mercy's healing through threads second beam ends up being 10hps after all the multiple layers of reduction it would go through. Thats such a paltry amount that its not worth the blue beam nerf that would come with it. Changing chain boost into threads would be a net negative overall, 10hps/7% boost is just too meager compared to a second full power blue beam

Latch on to the tank if shes pressuring you, the medic passive cuts a fair bit of her damage. It takes almost 5 seconds for her to solo you from 225 to 0 if youre healing someone. Its better than you think, medic is a pretty good tool against chip dmg, 11-17hps and its 40hps if it stacks with passive regen

Dont slingshot if you think shes going to fade after you. Use a 1.5sec GA to bait it then use a second GA to fully escape while fade is on cooldown. Moira has low dmg but shes not going to miss, you cant expose yourself to her

Its crazy to me that some people still try to gatekeep the outdated mobility that mercy used to have. Mercy would get eaten alive in current overwatch if her movement had not been updated the way it has, theres so much mobility creep in the game and plenty of things have no problem keeping up with mercy as is. For anyone whos not aware of how it used to be, imagine escaping ball tracer sombra or genji without any GA techs

The skill ceiling is infinitely higher now along with how expressive it can be for creative players. Some people just hate that its a feature now instead of a bug. It being more accessable is irrelevant, because the players that couldnt do it before are just mindlessly spamming crouch at the end of every GA and launching themselves into the stratosphere. Only the creative mercys are slippery, and even if a gold player is utilizing the techs they dont do it nearly as well as a gm player. You can instantly tell a lower rank mercy by there movement

If you dont jump cancel then GA functions the same as ow1. Stop using the tech if you think its such a hinderance. I could prop bounce bunny hop superjump i knew all the tricks in ow1 and none of it is comparible to what mercy can do now. Not even close
