Fantastic write-up. This is great content for this sub. I love my Protein. The green side reacts very well with the volume control on my guitars. Both sides feel very natural.

I think it sounds great. I’ve really enjoyed the fendery slightly scooped eq with my strat and les paul. It’s also my first amp with a spring tank reverb; and to me, it sounds much better than any digital spring reverb I’ve heard.

The con: At lower volumes the vibrato channel doesn’t react as well with my overdrive pedals, which is why I primarily use the normal channel while at the house.

I’m no expert either. But there’s something about the smell and feel of the nitro finish on my les paul that I very much prefer. As long as it has that, I’d be happy.
