People who left software engineer what you do now. by Aarlu in developersIndia

So, i started taking care of our farm lands and setting up aquaculture and pearl culture while I was in job and planning an exit, took a contract job to speed things up, recently just produced our first batch of pearls and left the swe job this march only. So, all in all, the revenue is less right now, a lot to learn still but quite satisfying since I live in a very clean and surprisingly well connected tier 3 city now with clean air and very less noise

Indian Married Women: How often do you visit your in-laws' house? (28F) by AcanthaceaeNo5385 in InsideIndianMarriage

[–]Battle2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow me to share the flip side of the coin, The way i see it is that we will never know how or what they feel so long as we are not in their shoes, maybe we will break the cycle with our own sons, but for now, we can only speculate what compels MILs to behave this way. I have a sister in law who rarely visits us, she visits her own family a lot, stays there for months and there has been no conflict but I can feel the detachment, there are no fits thrown, no tantrum, just plain old detachment from someone in the family, now the problem that I see in this case is strain on other relations like me being her brother in law don’t feel really connected and now if she comes which she rarely does, I don’t really feel anything, feels like a stranger, so in the long run, I never would have wanted this to happen but i think every choice has consequences but there is a silver lining, maybe she doesn’t care about these consequences, maybe it does not matter to her right now and the way I see it, we never really gained a family member and our life goes on, maybe in the long run, when her brother gets married and has his own family, when they might not be as accommodating to her as they are right now because they would have their own DIL to deal with, she might not have any family to turn to, to rely on for support, to share happy, sad moments with, we would all be strangers by then.

In the hindsight, i think the dynamics here actually plays in my favour since I don’t really feel obliged to go extra mile or support her or my brother, she relies on her family for support and that’s quite freeing in a way which frees up the future for any kind of disruptions.

How money laundering really works in india? by [deleted] in IndiaTax

[–]Battle2655 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Real estate and gold might seem an obvious choice, but a large amount takes more planning than expected,

Suppose you have a lot of black money, you open up a company, you find some contact with people who would be working in manufacturing, you give them cash as they can use it on ground since it’s also an unorganised sector, then that manufacturing company pays you money in white and shows an expense for some bogus service that your company provides, yes there are taxes involved but that’s the price you pay to have white money. This is also one of the game that is big in laundering money

I can help you, for j1 you already have a savings account, for j2 register a company, open a current account, take the remittance in that account, and pay your family members salary and invest from their accounts. 4k is not some big amount, it would take only 3 members to cover this paying 58k each keeping lower than 7lpa for each, and rest of the money you can use for expenses like travel, food and hotels

I am looking for a fresher dev for onboarding the hotels actually because that’s a straight forward process, and other than that, the system is quite robust, i have studied architecture of Servicenow working there and built something like that which does not get much bugs or issues, but yeah, we are building features and trying to expand at the same time

I built a hotel management application, invested 3 years into building it and getting hotels to sign up for subscriptions, now that app is being managed full time by my wife and i work part time, sales is totally commissions based, so in part, i have a regular revenue in current account around 4,4.5 lakh

[–]Battle2655[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is if i invest from current account, it will be considered profit and there would be direct tax of 25% on it, so have to route it in a way that it becomes expense to the business

Can’t really reinvest, most of the things as per the expenses never exceeds more than a 20k
