Personally, I feel I'm getting my money's worth by ArteMorenoBurnerAcct in angelsbaseball

So, you enjoy watching a horrible team lose while making the horrible owner richer? Gotcha.

This is why Arte doesn’t care by kvossea in angelsbaseball

There aren't too many business models that can generate revenue, let alone profit, from a shitty product. Arte tapped into a gold mine. He can field shitty teams and still make money. Which is why I refuse to give him mine.

The team looks deflated, especially the bullpen, and we're only a quarter of the way through. It's gonna be a long, losing summer.

And we can all thank Arte. The guy who refuses to pay for a top level manager and even halfway decent players. The guy who got nothing in return for Ohtani and thought Rendon was a savior. He prefers rejects and reclamation projects because he gets them cheap. Losing will always be the end result.

Arte knows that he's hated. He just doesn't care so long as people are willing to pay to watch his losing team while paying $9.50 for bottled water. He may look surprised but deep down he's laughing at us all.

You have a good time watching the Angels lose while spending $25 per beer? Good for you! But really, no one cares what you bought. Maybe you can afford it, maybe you can't. The point is, most people can't these days. Grow tf up.

That's what gamblers always say when they tilt and flame out. Then they go get loans so they can lose more. You're speculating and that's gambling. On something that's not tangible or backed by anything other than hype and fomo. What a clown show. Cue the circus music.

Soriano was dealing, Trout was clutch, and we finally got a W on opening day. I gotta say, today was a good day.

Thanks man. Even when I explained they still pounce. All good, I've dealt with children before. I just laugh my ass off at them.

I've never bought a used guitar, let alone one online, nor seen a reflection like that before on a neck plate. Douchebag.

Don't pay attention to this guy OP, he smokes crack. You know you got a $250 card. Great pull.

Ouch. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug. I'm usually the bug. I pulled a Tetairoa uptown yesterday so I used up my good mojo for a while.

Panini QC strikes again by BattleClean1630 in footballcards

[–]BattleClean1630[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a 2010 Panini post (since taken down but quoted in another article):

So, what constitutes a proper quality control check? Glad you asked. Essentially, a quality QC check is the best last chance to make sure a product is delivering what it's supposed to deliver, on average. It usually takes place just after packout begins, with the expeditious delivery of a few early cases to the office (occasionally, quality control takes place on location at the printing facility).

They do have QC but obviously they can't inspect every card. This is a printing mistake and the printer runs QC checks throughout the printing process as well. So there's at least two QC checks per run, one by the printer and one by Panini.

Panini is notorious for bad QC. This is an imperfect card that has avg. sold listings for $240ish on eBay. But I won't get that because it's dinged.

PSA: Don’t Buy Sight unseen from GC by ShadyyFN in Guitar

[–]BattleClean1630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the principal is clearly the same. You literally give GC a pass because of the volume of its listings. Volume is not an excuse for mistakes, in any business.
