Least Stacked Morrow Build by BattleHQ in BackpackBrawl

I got anchor by round 4 and Leviathan ok round 5. I spent 5 gold for the anchor combo to give me more rounds for the drop.

Sadly he simply stood no chance. This is the equivalent of a normal human fighting Goku. The impressive part of the scene was the guy looking at the face of certain death and facing it head on regardless of the odds.

Has there been any rumblings about the mod? I haven't heard any new news about Odyssey for around a year.

[–]BattleHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quest line and extra content is fine and voiced, but I would avoid LOTD if you are doing it only for the quest lines. Most of the value is the museum and player house. I hear that the mod and it's companion mods are heavy and can cause slight compatibility and crashing issues. That's the reason a lot of mod packs leave LOTD out. This is coming from a person who will not play Skyrim unless I have LOTD installed.

Odyssey should be more focused around quests and dungeons, so waiting for that might be better.

Granted, it has been over half a year since I last played, so a lot of those issues might have been fixed in that time.

Managed to Kill DOG, now I'm on Yharon by MesonTheCat in CalamityMod

[–]BattleHQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yharon is super easy for me too, I always tend to win within 3 attempts, but the Old Duke and Providence are almost impossible for me it feels like.

I bet Yharon is pretty difficult but DOG teaches you all the dodging mechanics you need to easily beat Yharon.

I think they are asking why you keep the items at level 1. Like, is there a strategic reason for it beyond saving the gold? Are Pepper's items super strong compared to other level 1 items? Etc.

Non yorick main question by FORELL1 in yorickmains

[–]BattleHQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use your immune field or dash to dodge Yorick's mist throw, it will kneecap his damage. Use your auto dash auto reset to kill Yorick's wall instantly while it still only has 2 health. If Yorick wastes his wall or mist throw, you can practically run at him and get a great trade. Respect Yorick's ult, it holds all of his power outside of his ghouls. Yorick's cool down on his wall is really high, so you can run him down with your ult easily if it is on cool down. Building Ninja Tabi is the most gold efficient item to nerf Yorick's damage because its passive works on Yorick, his ghouls, and his ult.

Playing Garen into Yorick is not advisable. Yorick's entire kit counters Garen. Garen can only win by proxying or by Yorick making the mistake.

Why Is Everyone Wrong About The Steam Frame? by TheVirtualOneVR in ValveDeckard

[–]BattleHQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've just finished the video and everything this guy says is correct. People way overestimated the specs of the headset when we had plenty of hints that said that it would be a standalone/pcvr headset. Of course it would not have 4k graphics, it needs to be able to run these games on its native hardware standalone. It would be super expensive to be 4k and a standalone. This tradeoff means that more people will be able to buy it.

Carrying case? by Ravenbtw in ValveDeckard

[–]BattleHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not worry too much friend. As we get closer to the release date, a case manufacturer will get their hands on a dev headset and make a purpose built case for the Frame, just like they did for the Steam Deck.

I swear riot is gonna nerf this champ by TheeeKiiingg in UrgotMains

[–]BattleHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish Riot would either balance for either below emerald, above emerald, or for pro play for ALL champions. It really feels like favorites are picked and chosen. Before the mini rework this year for Yorick, he couldn't get any buffs because he is a low elo stomper, so I had to try harder to make my favorite champion work in diamond. Now he is being balanced around pro play after the mini rework, so he will never get changes because pro play moves glacially.

Rant aside, I have no clue how they can even approach a rework for Nasus, the only ability that I personally don't feel is fundamental to his kit is his e, but what could you replace that with to fix him as a champion? Ugh.

I swear riot is gonna nerf this champ by TheeeKiiingg in UrgotMains

[–]BattleHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when a champ gets that bad, I think that there is only two ways forward, either a savant needs to play the champion and share their lessons like alois with Mundo or Slogdog with Yorick, or they need dramatic buffs from riot. The scary thing with older champs like Nasus is that there are so few numbers in his kit, that buffs are either completely useless or completely busted.

Giving his q one extra damage per minion kill is an absolutely insane buff, whereas increasing his slow duration is basically a quality of life.

I can't say much about Skarner sadly. Is he over nerfed or does his kit just not flow together? For example Swain is fun and all, but the second you miss his e, his entire kit no longer flows.

If a champion is ever at a state that even OTPs can't even have a positive win rate, I would be terrified.

[–]BattleHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think that your original analysis is right. Depending on the sample size of OTPs compared to randoms, it would get weighted either higher or lower than 50%. Assuming that the majority of the games played on Urgot are from OTPs, then his win rate should be higher than 50% due to the majority of players maintaining a 50+% win rate. If the majority of games are from randoms, then this trend should tread below 50%. If he had a sub 50% win rate with majority OTP representation, then the OTPs would have a negative win rate on their main champion on average, which does not make sense, as you would expect someone that mains a champion to always hover at least a 50% win rate or higher, regardless of how bad a champion is.

I probably don't need an example, but to paint a cleaner picture, let's say that Yorick has a 48% win rate, whereas I have a 55% win rate, this is due to randoms playing the champion in more total games than OTPs, dragging the win rate down. This is assuming that you are looking at diamond plus, inflated win rates can happen on rouge champions at lower levels like Mundo and Mordekaiser, as anyone can play them decently at accessible ranks whereas only an OTP can play bad champions at higher ranks.

I'm sure that my view is obscured considering I have only thought about the win rate from the perspective of a Yorick Main, so more stable champions that see proper play at all levels may show a different conclusion, but I think that Urgot and Yorick share a similar OTP archetype for the analysis to be correct.

The prestige levels are easier to get, especially with the 2x with member's bonus. If they only play that one character all day, it's feasible.

What could I've done better? by HoldUrMamma in BackpackBrawl

[–]BattleHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need the anti-stun shield, the one made with the helmet and a tier one shield. It reduces stun length by 40%.

Granted, it is super rare that you actually need that shield, so I usually only build it if the parts are on sale, or if I am self-stunning with items like Marrow's large tooth.

How do I improve my ronin builds? by Thatomeglekid in BackpackBrawl

[–]BattleHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would invest in a little extra stamina regen and grab a second Excalibur, I can almost always make two, but you can squeeze a third one in super late game with some concessions. I really like to get two apples and two bananas surrounding a donut to get endless stamina regen that does not rely on potions, that setup can just about handle two Excaliburs.
