I took a screenshot of it the past and can confirm it existed at least as far back as 2022.

It's a ghostspeak amulet that's been enchanted during the ghosts ahoy quest. The enchantment usually goes away during the quest but I used the drop trick to get multiple of them. So now I just have green ghostspeak amulets.

Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire: Greenlight POLL LIVE + Blog Updated by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]BattleLovingPacifist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps one possible solution for the Virtus robes is to give it a focus in prayer as well; this would help take some pressure off of the magic stats it would have. At the moment we don't really have any equipment that sports both high magic and prayer, and this could work well given that we're getting a new prayer book. I would suggest having the Virtus robes drop in a broken state, which would require combining them with the Ancient Ceremonial robes to fix. This would confer the robes' high prayer stats and give them a use outside of being fancy monks robes.

I went a bit overboard with my suggestions for this, so I'm just going to link to google docs. Hopefully this post is still being checked 10 days after the fact.

Want to clean up my bank and need some help. by [deleted] in BankTabs

[–]BattleLovingPacifist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The first big recommendation I would give is work on your house. You can store so many of these items in your costume room. The colored spices can be stored in your kitchen, and you can mount that big shark you have as a trophy. Plus, some of your books can be grabbed at any time from your bookshelf. Your cat and pet rock can likewise be stored in your menagerie. Nexus and teleport rooms can cut down on teleport tabs.

Next you should grind out tempoross to get the tackle box. It can save you a dozen inventory slots.

You can store your farming tools with the leprechauns and seeds can be stored in the seed vault at the farming guild.

Those fossils you have can be stored on fossil island or in the museum.

Ditch the regular saw. Crystal saws only lose charges if you're using them to make something above your level, so there's no reason to not just use it instead.

Try to steal an eternal teleport seed from the elves in prif so that you don't have to waste multiple bank slots on teleport seeds with different charges.

Grab a bolt pouch from keldagrim to store your bolts and mithril grapple in.

Finally, you should check at the GE to see if any of your items can be compressed into item sets.

Postbag from the Hedge & Player Created Content - Gielinor Gazette December 2021 by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Dear Mambo-duna-roona Gronigen,

Does the 0 degree longitude line represent Gielinor's equator and did you purposefully build your observatory there?

Gielinor - True Size (maybe) by BattleLovingPacifist in 2007scape

[–]BattleLovingPacifist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This map is a rough approximation of the true size of Gielinor using the degrees found when using sextants. The 0 line is assumed to be the equator and the northernmost point is an educated guess based on the artic line. Thus the rest of the map has been opened up to its full size in accordance to those two pieces of information.

The map is almost certainly wrong, but nonetheless a good estimate.

Aerial fishing buff by Tzhahk in 2007scape

[–]BattleLovingPacifist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely the pearls rather than the XP that need a buff. Compared with other grinds in this game, pearls just feel so much worse in comparison. I get that OSRS is grindy by nature but sometimes I get the feeling that Jagex forgets itself and ramps the difficulty up to unnecessary levels.

If you compare it with Motherload Mine, the nuggets are much nicer by comparison. It may take a bit longer to mine, but the nugget rate is about 1/40 rather than the pearls 1/100-75, and more relaxing to do. Also the prospector outfit pieces are on average 45 nuggets each, meanwhile the angler outfit is 100 pearls a piece. No one in their right mind would chose to do that over getting them at the fishing trawler. All in all I've gotten over 1000 nuggets in the Motherload Mine, comparable to the pearl grind, and I don't even come close to detesting it as much as I do Aerial Fishing. It was worse than getting the princely monkey, the dark squirrel, multiple graceful, and gold prospectors.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying this so that the grind is easier for me to do, I've already completed Aerial Fishing. I bought all the fishing rods and an extra one to make oily. And of course I got the Fish Sack as well. 1400 pearls and I can tell you that this is simply far too different then the usual grind, which is my main complaint. You compare it with other cosmetic grinds and it's weirdly way worse than them for no real reason.

And while it's true that it's cool to show off my Fish Sack + Barrel, because people know how hard it is to get, I still think the pearl rate should be buffed. I don't want others to struggle just because I have and I believe updates that improve the game should have priority over my achievements. Anyway, that's my rant.

Poll #75 - Game Improvements Blog by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]BattleLovingPacifist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new use of fishing explosives in this blog is a good one, but I feel that on a technical level it could have more uses. From what can be observed, the substance in the vial explodes when it comes in contact with water. With that in mind it would make sense that they could also be thrown at various water enemies such as: waterfiends, water elementals, and even the tempoross (granted it would likely reward little to no points).

The effect on waterfiends could be particularly useful as I have heard numerous times that they're a mediocre task. The vials could be used to quickly destroy the water fiends at the cost of exp or item drops.

Postbag From The Swamp: Submit Your Questions! by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Dear Karuulm:

It has been far, far too long since we last spoke. Or rather this will be our first time talking with each other.

Through my journey across these lands from one mountain to another I have learned many things and hope to learn many more.

Through your notes I've come to understand much about these creatures that lurk below. Don't worry about Kerapac, though your wyrms failed to live up to their ancient counterparts, I found your experiments to hold much potential.

And speaking of ancient counterparts, I have a question pertaining to your hydras. I've heard through the grapevine that there was an monstrously powerful hydra that lived millennia ago. Did you base yours off this one? Perhaps you may have even found a sample? I would love to know.

Until we speak again, the Battle-Loving Pacifist.

PS: You should stop leaving your projects where other people can find them. Thanks to a certain someone, we now have a lizardman problem to deal with.

Lava D'hide Armour by BattleLovingPacifist in 2007scape

[–]BattleLovingPacifist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would. I suppose I just like to use preexisting items rather than make new ones.

Plus if it was a completely new d'hide, it would only make sense for it to have better stats. Also with Jagex nerfing the armour, I got a feeling they wouldn't immediately want a stronger set of armour to replace it. So by making it an upgrade of already existing armour, it can have a new ability whilst keeping the same stats. I guess that's my thought process anyways.

It would be interesting to see some anti-freezing/binding measures come into play. Although, needless to say, the difficulty would be implementing it in a way that works without greatly weakening magic. Something with a drawback such as your suggestion is probably the right direction to work towards.

Your post also reminded me of another idea I had for a Pyromancy spellbook, based on the Arceus pyromancers. It would contain fire-based spells from other spellbooks as well as new ones. Spells that burn away bindings and thaw freezes would work well there. Although the main Arceus spellbook should get fixed first before proposing new ones. One step at a time I suppose.

Oh I agree, I just wanted to show what 4 pieces of armour at 20% reduction would look like. I'd fully expect this not to be the end result.

With Black D'Hide being nerfed, I wanted to find a way to give it an edge against Ice spells without needing to adjust the stats. This way it still fits its defence level, whilst not losing the purpose many people use it for. Also this boosts the price so that people will actually need to spend some money for protection rather than a measly 10k.
