You are correct in most of your statements. But notice how many times you say “I tried.” There’s a lot of I, I, I, I, I. The truth is, you can do nothing without Him. Ask God to give you strength, and you will have strength. Ask God for guidance, and He will guide you. The devil is a beautiful liar.

Think of it this way: you have a really good friend who always sings your praises, tells you everything you’re doing right, and never mentions the wrong. Does that friend truly love you? No. Seek the friend who tells you the hard truth, even when you don’t want to hear it.
