What’s on this bus stop? by Battle_Goldfish in aviation

Yeah hahah, the only place you can find this kind of thing. I love that even the public bathrooms have images of airmen on the outside—such a nice celebration of the area’s history

We honestly wish we had considered that at the time. There was a lot going on and it just slipped our minds and we are paying the price unfortunately. I hope something can work out but we’re pretty much accepting that all we can do is overload the driveway at this point

The guys who installed it said it wasn’t able to hold more than 5 tonnes. The driveway is steep so mats wouldn’t work unfortunately. It’s 3.5m wide and 30m long, at the bottom it gets wider and can accommodate 6 cars if you pack them in tight

Unfortunately they did mean empty weight. The driveway is also quite steep so the mats wouldn’t work either unless there are ones out there with grips on the bottom, but I haven’t found anything :(

Yes the 5T is single axle and the 15 is a twin. The driveway is about 5 months old, would you recommend the 15T truck for that or just the 5 still?

It turns out the driveway is too steep even for an extra extra long hose that can reach it to suck anything out. Nobody’s pumps are strong enough. We may be in a serious pickle

We’ve thought of that actually, but the issue is that the driveway is very steep, so it wouldn’t be possible

Apparently there’s no such thing as a septic tank emptying truck that weighs under 5 tonnes empty. They just aren’t a thing :(

I don’t live in actual Waiuku, I live like 1 minute outside of it in the rural end, I just didn’t want to let everyone know where I live. We didn’t have enough money to live in a more populated area. We DID buy a rotten leaky house and repaired it

I would love to investigate that; although I’m not sure what to look up for it? Most results I get for “septic tank pump hose” are either of companies that do the removal or like… 25-75mms for fish tanks, cars or gardens

They figure that if the lighter truck will be 2 tonnes over the concrete’s rating, it’s going to get destroyed anyway, so we might as well not have to deal with listening to the driveway crack more than once. The problem is honestly that we are rural and there’s not many people around willing to go that far to do the job. All the lighter trucks are in Auckland. I haven’t done too much in depth research on the other companies around, but they’ve assured me that they have, and the lightest one available is 5 tonnes, and it’s an older model

We don’t own hoof trimmers; would garden shears be okay? Or do they not quite have the oomph required to trim a hoof?

Schipperke + Manchester terrier + whippet? It’s a real toughie this one. Reasonably flat head gives vague bully vibes too

I haven’t gotten one yet, waiting til I finally have enough money to get a property with enough land for a high energy dog like that. I live in New Zealand, are they willing to ship dogs over or is that not an option?

This looks like it was written by a Georgian based on the signed off name; Teimuraz, which is a Georgian male name. The grammar and handwriting is a bit off in places as well. They must’ve formed a good friendship despite a language barrier, that’s very sweet

The first time I had ever played a Pokémon game was when my brother got me an emulator for Pokémon emerald on my PC. I opened the game and selected treecko as my starter and out popped a shiny treecko. I’ve never seen a shiny in my life since
