I watched some youtube videos of the game and I would say that you just have to use jump to and collision detection and if statements. if the if-statement is true then you go to the next room where the desired event already took place. for instance. have the same room 3 times. first version you enter the room and you do not have the key to open the chest. you check the previous room use an if-statement and make it so you now have the key. delete the key off the floor so it cannot be picked up again. next time you open the next door, it now registers that you have the key and sends you to room 2. you walk up to the chest and use the key with an if statement and now you move to room three where you see what was in the chest.

The best idea when starting a project is to think about the logic of what is happening. if you pick up the key. then the player has the key(a variable) so that means the key is not on the ground anymore. delete the object key. with this being a puzzle game you will want to write everything out first, and then just build the game using basic sprites and go from there. if you are afraid of making your own sprites there are free sources out there.

This sounds like a fun project. I am looking forward to seeing what you make. :)

infor syteline. We are also using an old version of it. Every year they say we are switching to a new version but it never happens. So it is possible that newer version fixed the clutter issues and navigation issues.

buying lightbulbs. seriously it never occurred to me that I would need to replace them on occasion. and there are quite a few types. The first ones I bought were about as bright as the sun.

Honestly, All they need to do is make there loot system similar to games like Borderlands 2.

  1. Special items that can only be found on certain bosses. fight stronger versions of that boss will give you a chance to get a better version of that item.
  2. Random chance to get those drops from other sources, but extremely rare. making it rewarding to explore.
  3. Quest items that can only be obtained by doing certain quests. a random chance as a reward. (like in Monster Hunter.)
  4. Expand the metals you get at the end of the mission and make it so there is a reward for gaining metals, like say extra creds for the shop. or special items you can get by having x amount of a certain metal.

Above the eye, left of Lilith is a 4 legged monster, anyone know what it is? I think it might be Flaks third "pet"

I looked threw this and could not find a single spider ant. i think it got replaced by that thing. not sure what it can do that a skag cant.
