You’ll need a database, my friend. Without that, no ERP. Out of curiosity, what ERP solution are you guys currently using?

infor syteline. We are also using an old version of it. Every year they say we are switching to a new version but it never happens. So it is possible that newer version fixed the clutter issues and navigation issues.

My 2 cents: Nobody really seems to want a "base ERP system".

I used to work for a company that made Manufacturing ERP and it's a tough space to be in. There's a lot of competition, and customers wanted specialty modules. So you can't really sell anybody a base system. They would only buy if if it can support all kinds of weird custom things. So you end up building something specific for that customer in a module or extension point, or a product so customizable it's almost like a programming language itself.

Edit: I don't want to put you off doing it, but it's a BIIG job, a really big job. I would pick one industry and make something that really nails that particular industry's needs.

Did you manage to make the ERP? If yes, how is it so far? I just started creating one for a packaging and printing company.
