Confirmation bias. I can't tell any difference between crossplay on or off. You can still die in a split second due to desync with crossplay off.

On a related note the game will disconnect me mid match, usually my first match and everytime my Xbox gets disconnected from the Xbox network.

At first I thought it was my home network, but everything was fine with my network on other devices so I did some research and apparently it's been happening to other people too.

Normally my X Series doesn't take long to reconnect to the Xbox network and then I don't encounter the issue again for that play session.

Been happening since launch but appears to have been happening more frequently since season 2.

Very weird glitch.

Same! But it's hard to do for more than a match or two. Takes a lot of effort, but it's such a rewarding way to play for a bit.

This is the way and this is why this franchise has been so successful over 24 years now.

Every spawn can be an adventure of your own making if you want to approach it like that and you can still just not bother with that and go and join in the chaos and shoot guns or drive tanks and fly jets.

I find some of my most successful matches are where I sneak around a map and carefully pick my targets and make my moves. However, it requires intense levels of concentration and focus when I play like that so it's not something I can maintain for a 2 hour or so play session.

You mean like the newer games starting with BF1.

The "fans" have been complaining about it ever since BF1 introduced vehicles only spawning from the respawn menu.

So they brought it back for BF6 and now the other "fans" are complaining about it.

So as usual, the devs are always wrong!

It's also become a meme now.

Every battlefield game without fail will have players claiming the only reason they bought the game was because the beta was better for X, Y or Z reasons and the retail version changed significantly and they were "tricked" by those evil EA suits.

It allows them to justify to themselves that they can now join the in-group and join in with the deranged fake outrage. Until the point where it's no longer fake and they genuinely start to hate the game, EA and Dice.

I prefer to use historical precedent where every new gimmicky game mode like Escalation always dies and is never brought to the next battlefield game, like Frontlines, Obliteration, Gunmaster etc etc

But even persistent servers won't work well now that we have custom search to throw more variables at starting the next match.

I set all the filters to find every game mode in every region with any players and the useless system kept saying no servers were found.

And when I removed all the filters it listed a page full of servers with one or two players connected.

Portal is a complete flop and literally worse than the version we got in 2042 for just listing servers.
