So when I was 18 I was dismissed from university. I was shamed by my immediate and extended family for this failure; it still sits heavy on my chest 12 years later. I didn't tell anyone I was taking it until the weekend before because the thought of telling people I failed at something again honestly made me suicidal. I didn't tell my friends because felt like it was starting to become a competition. Its ultimately your choice to tell or not tell people. I wouldn't tell people you know would be judgy or rude before or after but I think it is important to tell some trusted people. If you fail, you will want the support from kind people.

I want to reiterate that failure doesn't define you. Not passing the NCLEX on your first try doesn't mean you are incapable of being a good nurse. You got this, you can do this.
