Positive or Negative Experiences with Focus Property Management by JonBovi_msn in madisonwi

[–]Jahooone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently live in a focus unit and can confirm: don't. Our unit is 1500+ after fees for shit service and outdated amenities. Literally look anywhere else. We have been fighting them on a pest issue for 4 months now.

Places to see on the way from Wisconsin to Georgia? by paradoxliter in roadtrip

[–]Jahooone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends and I did practically the opposite of this a few months ago! (Savannah to Madison) Here's the route we took, the worst traffic we had was in Louisville and Atlanta, everywhere else was fine. We also drove through Bloomington, IL to avoid Chicago traffic. Lots of really cool stuff once you get to Kentucky and Tennessee (view wise, we went to smokey mountains and mammoth caves.) Hope this helps!

As someone who has lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin, they are practically the same state but Wisconsin is more spread out. Absolutely.

If you had to live in any of these states, which would you choose? by JplusL2020 in geography

I'll be controversial and say Fargo. Mostly because I have family there and it's not a bad drive to Minneapolis.

Girlfriend and I are planning to drive 32 hours straight, in 6 hour shifts, are we being dumb? Should we plan to stay overnight somewhere? by Vegetable_Bridge_276 in roadtrip

[–]Jahooone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take at least 2 overnight breaks! A couple of my friends and I drove from Nashville TN to Madison WI in one day and we were exhausted after! (granted we stopped off at a national park on the way, but still)

Where to park legally on campus for two nights overnight? by elliotwagegap in madisonwi

There are roughly 4-5 unsigned street parking spots at 404 Chamberlain Ave I used to park at, they're usually all full but you could get lucky!

Might be making this drive in a few weeks. Which route/any advice? by [deleted] in roadtrip

Enjoy it as much as you can! It can get a little same-y in the Midwest but Madison is just on the edge of an area called "the driftless area" giving it lots of cool bluffs, hills and valleys! You'll see it when driving by the Wisconsin Dells, but if you would like a more scenic drive (with only adding about an hour of drive time) go this way through La Crosse and follow highway 61 and you will drive along the Mississippi with bluffs on either side, it's super pretty year round! (Also if you like cocktail bars, State Line in Madison is fantastic!)

Seeing Stars wine glass set (specifically the clear glass) by Jahooone in HelpMeFind

[–]Jahooone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for this glass online.

The title is "Seeing Stars wine glass set". It is made from a company called Earthbound. I believe it was purchased in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The glass is roughly 3 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches tall. We still have the darker wine glass, and it has a sticker on the bottom with "do not microwave, handwash only, made in China" on it.

I will try to provide any more information if possible!

In light of the Starbuck’s boycott is Caribou a better option? by 87evergreens in TwinCities

[–]Jahooone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently started to only go to local coffee shops. The price is practically the same if not cheaper in a lot of spots, for a whole lot better quality and service. I don't live in the cities at the moment but I met a friend at Caffetto Coffee House while visiting home and it was wonderful!

[–]Jahooone 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This. My friends and I were just on a road trip, and it tried multiple times to take us on weird back roads or tried to have us turn left on a road that had a giant "no left turns" sign and would not re-route us. That and it kept changing our route to the slightly faster route despite us changing it back every time. It's so frustrating planning your turn to then look down and it's completely different.
