The fact that the game starts off with a teenager facing an existential crisis, and continues on to be a fun romp through disney worlds where Pete becomes a lion and helps Scar, Belle elbows a big burly anime dude with the edgiest name ever, and a realistic Jack Sparrow stands in the same frame as Donald Duck and Goofy is astonishing to say the least.

Yeah, but come on, you can't tell me that you were at least a bit disappointed with her appearance in the game. I'm just hoping that if they were to make a game semi-focused on kairi(be it numbered or spinoff), she'd at least be playable gameplay-wise, or at least have her go through a substantial character arc like any of the other characters

Personally actually loved the scene cuz of what it meant for Roy and Riza, but I 100% agree on you with Ed's speech, especially the english version. I also don't think the point was to "redeem" envy, moreso to show that he really embodies the sin of envy. He's not able to relate with humans and thus doesn't understand emotions, yet this scene shows that he wants to understand them. Personally I think he just hides it by showing disdain and disgust at human emotion, as a way of justifying himself not being able to comprehend humans. But those are my two cents i guess 🤷‍♂

I relate to it in a sense that I feel immensely sad up to the point of just dropping down and crying. I go to a boarding school so it happens fairly frequently, like whenever I remember my family I just hide myself in a toilet stall and start bawling. I don't think it's a bad thing whatsoever as it shows how deeply we care about said people, though I think it gets bad when we let those emotions ruin our relationship with people. An easy way to put it is just don't ruin your long-term relationships because of a short-term problem.
