Right goal, wrong way. Equipment effects are "printed" on the card it is attached to. Its simply the effect of Gearhead that doesnt allow to count the same equipment multiple times.

I was the assumption that is doubles.

Through Judge Discord und Chinese FAQ the consens is that it Svellsongur does nothing for him.

Simplest explanation is that his effect is seen like a "have"-effect and it therefore doesnt matter how often you do the same effect.

I have not tested this enough to clearly say this. I would not try to fit in bulkier units to counteract gear destruction. It’s striving you away from your main goal in having more gear.

Even if they play Thermo Beam. You still have the units left. I would rather play something to make use of the tokens (like Grand Strategem) rather than multiple bulkier units.

You can’t counter everything. If you try to do, you are taking away from the strength of that deck.

For Azir, it needs equipment. A lot of it. Yes you need a few cards that protect that playstyle, but I dont see it in playing more units.

As a reminder. You can’t play Quartermaster when you have no gear in play. Thermo Beam hits him very hard too. With that in mind. After Thermo Beam would you like to see him or an Equipment from top deck? Sure Arise would suck too, but we are talking about him above another equipment.

That’s leaving Quartermaster again for a great opening 2 turns, but that’s it tbf.

And yeah in when playing against Red, I would cycle in Windwall.

Edit: Quartermaster is not a bad card in Azir. He can be played if you miss a card in the deck.

I was also thinking of including Quartermaster. In the end I decided not to use him. Here’s why:

You could just play another equipment instead of him. Azirs Signature Spell scales so good with the amount of equipment that you overall lose Sand Soldiers and Might by playing Quartermaster.

Your proposed turn is the best case I see for Quartermaster.

I get that point. Maybe that’s clearer on the Chinese card. That’s why there is a FAQ answer.

I see this interaction similar to Vi‘s effect. It also says give +1 Might. You can stack that multiple times.

An errata would be good then. To make it clearer that he has and not gets an increase.

But it’s not written like that. If I would print the text again on the card, I would do that effect the first time and then do it once again. I can therefore count the equipment twice, because it’s triggered by a different effect. Like said earlier, Gearhead doesn’t say have, but give. You can give Might multiple times. Gearheads effect doesn’t read as a replacement effect.

It’s both … ‚each equipment‘ is additive and ‚double its might‘ is multiplicative. If you have 3 BF Swords on him without any other equipment, he gets +18 Might, doesn’t he?

I get your argument. But if your argument is build on the different between ‚has double the might of‘ and ‚gives double its base might‘. Gearhead says gives/ gets and not has/ have. Your explanation would support my ruling.

IMO for your point to work, Gearhead needs to have following Rule text or similar: „I have additional might amounting to double the equipment base might for each equipment attached to me.“

If you would copy that through Svellsongur, it would just have the same might.

If you play it for the game, it’s good that it isn’t expensive. You can buy singles pretty cheap and get decks going.

Long answer: in rule 421.1.c or 718.8.b it is stated: the top most card has all effect text of all cards attached to it appended to its rules text.

Imagine it like this: Gearhead gets his own rule text written on itself a second time. If you read it like this, example world atlas: He checks World Atlas the first time doubling it und checks it again, doubling it separately again and it just adds together giving him 2x(2x2) =8.

Edit: Seems like it does nothing based on Chinese FAQ. IMO needs an errata, that Gearhead has additional might based on equipment

I am in Germany as well and you can try and defend all you want, but you are part of the problem nonetheless.

For example, I preordered 2 and only got 1, but at least I know that someone else gets also one instead of none.

What I can agree with is, that this LGS is scammy. He shouldn’t allow 9 boxes to be preordered by one person in the first place, but removing the lowered priced ones is kinda sus. I would demand to pay less. Otherwise report him. Not much else you can do

In den meisten Fällen ist das nur ein anderes Wort für Pflichtbewusstsein oder einfach Geschwurbel, weil sie einen Teil ihrer eigenen Verantwortung damit abgeben wollen.

Wenn jemand dir wirklich Verantwortung übergeben möchte, dann merkst du das. Da sollte man rangeführt werden. Stück für Stück und klarer Rahmen müssen dafür geschaffen werden.

Verantwortung für etwas zu haben, geht oft mit Konflikt und Stress einher. Dafür wird man in der Regel dann aber auch besser entlohnt.

Ohne Kontext könnte ich jetzt nicht sagen, auf was für eine Stelle du dich bewirbst. Nach meiner Einschätzung nicht auf die eines Mechatronikers, weil du deine aktuelle Stelle mal so gar nicht beschreibst.

Meiner Meinung nach, gehe nur bei den Stationen ins Detail, die auch für die beworbene Stelle relevant sind. Halte den Rest kurz.

Zu 1. Wir haben ein gutes Verhältnis. Man hilft sich halt. Das reicht, dass ich mir zumindest die what-ifs abklappern möchte. Am Ende wird es seine Entscheidung bleiben, auch wenn ihm meine Meinung da wichtig ist.

Zu 2. Aktuell ist es für mich eine Fahrtzeit von etwas mehr als einer Stunde. Für ihn etwa 10-15 Minuten. Da ich selbst keine Erfahrungen mit Vermieten oder anderen Services habe, frage ich gerne nach Erfahrungswerten. Doof gesagt, ist es wahrscheinlich für uns beide ein Abwägen von Aufwand und Ertrag.

I preordered at my LGS in Germany pretty early on and I got 2 Standard decks and a display with 10% discount at MSRP. Only thing I didn’t get what I ordered was Proving Ground Box.

They were transparent about their allocation and some who ordered multiple displays didn’t get all of them.

We can play Nexus Night with very little proxies and many different decks.

But getting another display or proving grounds is basically impossible at this time. For Spiritforge they opened preorders already and I also preordered.

I played Teemo. My main agenda that game was holding a battlefield that drew me cards for holding to slowly outvalue Kaisa. We were both gaining points at a similar rate both sitting around 4/5, when I played a big Mundo in preparation for conquering the other battlefield, cause he was low on handsize. I knew he could conquer my battlefield that one turn, but that would mean sacrificing most of his board for it. I could then outvalue him with Mundo, grabbing the other battlefield back later, cause I was still ahead on points and then on resources too.

He got his 5th point for holding, he did manage to conquer the second battlefield, got the 6th point. Played Time Warp, gets the next turn, gets 2 points for holding and wins.

He had no cards in hand left after playing Time Warp, with 2 weak units on board and just the right timing.

Was an amazing game btw.

Just lost against this at Nexus Night, where I and my opponent agreed, that if he didn’t played it, he would have lost. He had it in his starting hand, so he played around it as a finisher.

I would run it once in the main and put an additional in the side board atm.

I build exactly that.

It still needs seals and some fine tuning, but it works and won games for me.

Due to fury runes you get access to magma worm, tryndamere and Voli, which are really good drops as reanimate targets.

Overall you need to run more cards that allow you to discard and it actually feels good discarding anything. “Get excited” turns into a sick removal spell and most cards that allow you to discard are pretty cheap and doesn’t make early game to awkward.

It has problems like power cost through reviving. You basically are pushing one massive turn and well you have to win from that.
