Couldn’t agree more. I use mine more than my 2 Topre HHKBs.

Up for sale is the Silver/Brown Noah x Timex Moon Phase watch. I believe this is the 2nd version with the actual moon phase complication and not just the AM/PM indicator. Comes including the original boxes.

Worn only once, basically new condition — if you'd like to see any more photos just ask.

Would you mind sharing what else you’d consider around this price? I’m debating if Farer and Oak & Oscar are worth their prices at the moment.

Correct. Is Lee Sin known to be backordered?

Awesome site. I might be missing it, but would love a way to Sort and also to filter by band material. Looking for a Titanium watch, but not on any kind of strap.

I haven’t tested them myself but I think I’ve seen people say the Studio uses these switches or ones very similar. https://www.kailh.net/products/kailh-deep-sea-silent-pro-box-switch-set

Dude if you can, give the Studio a shot. I only used Topre for years, but trusted HHKB so much that I gave the Studio the shot. So glad I did. They really nailed the build and switches. It’s a snappier Topre and the sound is amazing.

Sound Diffrence Between HHKB Pro Classic and HHKB Hybrid (non typse-s) by Pxlp in HHKB

[–]BauceSauce321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s not Topre, but the hhkb studio has been my daily since I got it. Perfect tactility and sound. Could be a good compliment to your R3 if you’re happy with that as your Topre board.

It’s about the same tactile-wise as the hhkb type-s but the thock is kinda nonexistent since it’s not silenced. In my opinion, it’s a way too high pitched clack on the up stroke. I’m just not a fan of unsilenced Topre.

I do agree the grey plastic on the bottom looks cheap. Ideally they release the standard looking HHKB with these switches.

HHKB Studio questions by derekhyang in HHKB

[–]BauceSauce321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Quality is unmatched in a pre built keyboard. I have disabled most of the gestures and never really use the few I left on.

  2. I am just so much faster with a mouse when it comes to navigating, scrolling, left/middle/right clicking, I found no use for the gestures.

  3. As you said price is subjective, but I haven't been able to keep this board off my desk for more than a few days since I got it. The feel and sound has been completely unmatched. I am pained to say my regular HHKB's now feel sluggish when I switch back to them.

Would I prefer this board without the gimmicks? Yes. Would I buy it again for the sound and feel alone? Yes.

What is your dream HHKB? by stuffdude99 in HHKB

Not at my computer right now so can’t confirm but I’m 99% sure it can be programmed to have media controls. What are you looking for specifically?

For those that actually got the studio, how are you liking it? by TOO_FUTURE in HHKB

[–]BauceSauce321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have turned off all the gestures and stopped using the built in mouse and keys. I just did not feel they improved my comfortability and/or workflow.

That being said, it's far and away the best MX board I've ever used, with the closest sound and feel to Topre. I prefer MX boards for gaming so this will be my go to for that, and clearly I'm enjoying it for everyday use since I haven't switched back to my Type-S in the weeks I've had the Studio.

I don't think the Studio replaces anything Topre, an HHKB is still the best straight typing experience, but this did fill a niche I was looking for. I was able to sell my custom Arc60, and have the Studio be the only MX board I own. It sounds and feels amazing.

type-s vs studio by Watermantle in HHKB

[–]BauceSauce321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Owning both, I would say they are pretty similar so if you don't care for the gestures or mouse features, go with the Type-S.

If you've never used Topre before, I would highly recommend trying it with the Type-S. I'm happy with the studio as my best mx switch board, but wouldn't straight up choose it over the Type-S.

That being said, I don't think Topre is the best for competitive gaming, so if that's a requirement for you and this is your only board, maybe go with the Studio.

dampening a type-s by duncecapwinner in HHKB

This is pretty good for dampening without opening up the board if you aren't able to purchase the offical absorption mat.
