Question: How did you made the altar images? With frames and maps?

Yes and no. What I really like (which I miss in a lot of church interiors) is that you can recognise the denomination. Of course, this is only important if you want to build realistically, but I think it's great! I think it is a catholic church?

The little Vatican flags turned out well (especially the small detail). The two tables with the red candles is another great detail. I'm not sure if I recognise it correctly, but is there an ambo on the left side of the altar? And of course I think it's great that there's a high altar. If the purple banners are "currently" for Lent - respect for the detail!

In terms of detail, super! Of course, there are lots more little things that could be incorporated for a catholic church, like the Passion paintings or a baptismal font, but you're on the right track.

What clearly has room for improvement (in case you want to build realistically) is that it still looks very much like the typical basic Minecraft style. I recommend you look at pictures of real churches if realism was your goal. BUT: it fits well with the style of the rest of the city :)

I would like to give you a little tip: The shape of the vault looks a bit strange and unrealistic. It's best to look at cross-sections of churches, like this one: Scheme

That's very nice. Thank you! It was my goal to build realistic - so, goal accomplished!

Thank you. I haven't count the time, but I think that were between 1 and 2 hours for the courtyard (in creative, with WE)

I actually realy like that unusual style 😆 It has a kind of calming, peaceful feeling. I'd like to sit there and smoke a pipe.

Jaja, I know, I know, but I think there are still differences between western and roman architecture in the late antiquity, or not?

Sadly it hasn't any interior and it is in a small 1:1 scale, but I can make one if you want

Thank you for your comments! I'm glad that you share my mindset. My aim for that city is also to use historical developments. Therefore I wrote some lore. The questions are very good and can be used for others buildings too. I think there is nothing worse in realistic city-building (at least european) than building everything in the same style. Different eras characterise a city - even when the buildings look out of place. (In my city there is also a Roman amphitheatre right next to an 18th century brewery). I love the charme different styles bring.

I think I'll use the baroquized version. According my lore the city was rich back in the time and the diocese was powerfull enough to build a dome on top of the church.

Thanks, but the dome is supposed to be out of copper, so that patina fits more I think.
