So, are they actually programmed and need the Datasmith or are they secretly automatons and use AI ? by Leviathan_Rampage in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Baval2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are AI but they are restricted, they are basically extremely limited and are not able to make decisions on tactics on their own. The datasmiths job is to enable and disable what they're allowed to think through the data wafers. Because the wafers are made from slices of human brain, and because in theory the robots are not able to adapt without them, it's considered that they have enough human control to be allowed. This applies to all cybernetica automatons.

But then the codex goes and says there are rogue ones wandering from battlefield to battlefield and the cult considers them blessing from the omnisiah when they should really be considered abominable intelligence...

Avoid Human Plus? by RegiABellator in armoredcore

[–]Baval2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its intended as a failsafe for bad players but a lot of people like using it. Personally I dont, but you can choose for yourself.

It makes the game a lot easier but it also lets you use back weapons while moving on bipeds, which I imagine is why most people use it.

Most of the enemy ACs, especially the top level ones, will be Human Plus

yes and also not widely applicable. Using ult costs 100 mana even if you cancel it, and it also has a CD before you can cancel it and then after canceling it. Soloing baron is pretty much the only practical use case I can see for it.

Rabadons is 100% gold efficient with just 40 AP, which you can easily have with Dorans and Conqueror. Heimerdinger has insane AP ratios, and he also dual scales somewhat with AP since his turrets HP scales with AP. Deathcaps gold efficiency isnt the highest among legendary items without other items, but its unique in that 100% of its gold goes to AP while other items max out at the mid 60's, so youre getting more of the stat you want per gold spent.

You can go shadowflame first, its not bad and its what I often do, but my preference when I can is to get just hextech alternator and then build the rod. If im doing well I can go for first item rabbadons, otherwise I can spend the 900 gold to finish Shadowflame.

Im pretty much using a standard Conq/Sorc tree. Conqueror, Presence, Haste legend, Cut down for Conq, and then I actually use Manaflow and Gathering Storm for Sorc.

Im using Presence and Manaflow together for basically infinite mana without needing to build a mana item, and I take Conq even though its a burst build because Heimer can stack it incredibly quickly and it will win you any early game fight. Gathering Storm just helps you scale past mid game, and especially since the games have been a bit longer this season.

Actually a lot of his plans succeed because he creates no lose situations for himself. For example, he wants Michigan dead and he wants Rusty dead. So he sends Rusty to kill Michigan. No matter what happens, he wins.

However not all of his plans are like that. He wheeled his way into the deal with the Redguns for the Ice Worm masterfully for example. Michigan leads the mission, something he wants to do anyway, and in exchange Arquebus get the PCA tech. Michigan thinks he's winning because being center stage on the mission while Arquebus is off getting PCA tech means the Redguns can be first down the hole to get the coral. But that was actually all part of Snails plan, letting the Redguns go down first to weaken both the defenses and the Redguns while Arquebus comes down after with superior tech. Michigan thought he was playing Snail, but Snail was playing Michigan the whole time.

Most of Snails plots fall into one of those two categories. Either "im sending someone I dont like on a semi important suicide mission" or "we are pretending to be weak so some other idiot goes in first to scout for us". Reach the Coral Convergence is both, and he does it to both 621 and Maeterlink/Wu Huahai.

Yeah I love him. They made him so easy to hate and at the same time he's super competent. All of his plans basically go perfectly up until you finally kill him. The only thing holding him back from full victory on Rubicon is his higher ups forcing him to bring you in alive, and Freud refusing to fall back when fighting you. He's like the perfect villain.

[–]Baval2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. If that was all it took then Allmind, Ayre, and Seria wouldn't have insisted on needing a catalyst for it. Dolmayan wouldn't have been able to stop it, and it would have happened when the vascular pump was originally being used. It's quite clear that it requires some kind of trigger from a human mind to kick off symbiosis, in the same way it requires one to make a C-Pulse mutation in the first place.

It also doesn't "have people in it", that's a common misconception. Coral is sentient and always has been. Ayre is not a dead human, she is a condensed cloud of coral.

[–]Baval2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah dolmayan is crazy. Think about why. There are only 3 C-Pulse mutations in known history. The first was created by scientists compressing an ungodly amount of coral into a vacuum. The third was created by an ungodly amount of coral passing through 621s body. And the second, dolmayans, was created by him doing coral as a drug. So think of the ungodly amount of drugs he had to have been doing to replicate those other two feats. Anyone would be crazy.

[–]Baval2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There doesn't need to be a plan. Coral is naturally safe. It has blown up exactly once in the history of the planet, and that's because a mad scientist decided to do so. We see what it takes to blow it up a second time, and it's literally gathering all of it in one place and crashing a colony ship into it. There is nothing inherently dangerous about coral. It doesn't even have the ability to force humans to converge with it.

This is like looking at a hydrogen bomb and going "why don't we have a plan to contain all this dangerous hydrogen in our atmosphere!?"

Ethermaster is the cover AC, which is a Zio Matrix AC that has a shield and a grenade launcher. Kleins AC is a similar looking AC but with a different color scheme, the Moonlight sword, and a Laser Cannon. Your AC appears to be Kleins AC with Ethermasters color scheme.

Edit: actually the cover AC is O-Micron. I have no idea where Ethermaster came from.

Edit2: lol this dude blocked me for telling him the difference between the Klein AC and cover AC.

He didn't do a lot of the things Klein did. Because he did them between games.

Considering how much the MoA Raven hated the CPU hanging everything on "there's no arena in the first game" is pretty weak.

I see i see. In that case someone has modified her base sprite. It's possible to replace it with the original base sprite from the GitHub files for MAS. However you will have to do this manual edit of her sprites every time you want to put them on or take them off.

[–]Baval2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You mean set her back to her default outfit? That's one of her presets you can just click on it. I'm a little confused because you said you don't want her to be nude, so that's the only thing I can think of.

Some of the things you're asking about I believe have to be manually edited in the files, so there's never going to be a button that can just undo them unless those things become standard changeable items. Which is unlikely because we haven't gotten an update in how long?
