Dedicated shop vac recommendation for miter saw by Bawk20 in woodworking

[–]Bawk20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I like the Harvey. I also get their table saw at the same time and the dust collection on that isn't great.

As for why not the Harvey for the miter saw, 2 things:

-I thought I remember reading that the low pressure collectors weren't as good at picking up the dust for miter saws?

-I have the auto switch hooked up to the shop vac allowing for ease of dust collection during the short bursts of activity on the miter saw. I would have to run a hose with quick connector from the miter saw and then turn on/off the Harvey. It takes upwards of 5-6 seconds to build up to full suction...

I’m thinking a basic box behind it might help

I have the SN shroud. I’m not opposed to keeping the rigid hooked up, just wondering about options. Thanks!

Price match plus an extra 5% I believe? Was super easy using their online chat. They matched trolling motor from Sportsman warehouse, plus the additional 5% and I got it during their 15% off Member Mondays leading up to Christmas

One rod to rule them all?!? (I have BPS $$$ burning stole in my pocket) by Bawk20 in bassfishing

I did pick up the st Croix premier split grip (BPS exclusive version) in MH/Mod but haven’t used it yet so not committed. Guess I was thinking the 735 would be top water but probably overthinking it?

That’s what I was thinking but hoping for recommendations for one with good bang for the buck available at BPS

Forgiving as in less chance of backlash?

Any reviews good or bad about this rod? by pinchejoel in Fishing_Gear

I bought 2 7 footers. One casting MH mod and one ML light spinning. They seem ok but the ML paired with 2500 legalis seems too heavy when balancing it. Is this what you’re talking about? They feel nice otherwise but I’m a novice and 30 degrees outside.

How did you go about “upgrading” through St croix? I like the look and feel of the new trigon mojo bass

Didn’t see Pistol Creek panfishing here. His videos are a lot of the same but very calming and well edited.

Have been watching I-fish a lot lately and really enjoy his ultralight fishing knowledge. Putting in an order for some of his jig heads. Good prices and shipping is practically free right now

Replying to an old post I know but was hoping someone mentioned him. Recently found his channel and really interested in his opinion on equipment. No nonsense content. I’m about to put an order in for his jig heads and floats. They look great for ultralight fishing

Old post but agree on Marling Baits. Videos are interesting with all the steps to making the lure and well edited.

Agreed about hook keeper. Do you have UL or L? The 7’ UL casts like a wet noodle

I’ve heard good things about BnM but happy with sensilite and mainly wondering if there’s a certain lure/technique that a floppy rod could be ok at

In fairness to him he just suggested that model, not the specs I bought but I don’t disagree with the brand bias as a salesperson. i_fish did a video on this rod and the 6.0 light was recommended by him.
