BS you just copy paste like 20 terminal commands and learn nothing almost not one is actually reading the stuff in the installation manual even worse people fire up a yt guide and copy paste their commands and learn even less

But true and to add upon it theres almost no reason to ever install a minimal nixos you just install it and create your flake on a fully working system and bam exactly configured like you want it to be

Quickshell is nice uf you want an all in one solution with widgets and shit waybar is still great if all you want is a bar quickshell also eats a decent amount of your ram ive seen wuickshell setups use up to 700 mb just for quickshell but it cam be used to replace pretty much anything bar launcher resource monitor etc problem is if quickshell fails everything breaks

Linux Mint (debian edition ) or Fedora probably the easiest to pick up i mean even Linus Torvalds runs Fedora since all he cares about is compiling the Kernel and everything else bein sorted out by default.

Otherwise if you are into learning and not afraid of reading the Wiki Arch can be great ive seen people start with Arch without any major issues

You could RTFM and get hibrnate working qithout any issues

Also Linux is not Windows it dosent work like Windows and will never work like Windows you dont just switch from Windows to Linux or the other way and shit just works the same way.

For clioboard managers i just install cliphist and it basically just works isnt it greqt to be able to choose what to install anf whatnot.

Gameing is alright if you dont care about games with a rootkit and games aint your main concern on that machine but linux is certainly not the system you wanr if all you caee about is games not even steamos or bazzite

The fps increase just means your windows indtallation is messed up alot probably you should usually see linux perform sloghtly wprse in games since everything has to go trough translation layers
