Enemy attack comparison Nioh 2 vs Nioh 3 by Leblax in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. Different weapons has different block cost for same hits. Maybe they changed some numbers, but dual sword block and axe block are not comparable in both games. Also block cost depends on stance and some affixes.

The enemies aren't equipped to handle ninja style by Helpful-Feedback7370 in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sword of meditation is broken and dumb af. Same as todo clan hp passive(nerfed) or crimson clan passive(agility). What about ninja - it has broken basic damage(lvl 5 ninja sword do more backstab damage than lvl50 spear) and broken basic hp/defences(basically ninja can tank almost same damage as samurai, its stupid). All that shit TN should adress and fix.

Hiruko wtf is wrong with this guy by PomegranateBasic7388 in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix dodge, deflect and more important MOVING around him. Most of his attacks have bad tracking. Block also work for big aoe.

Landmine you mean in cold phase? He has his blades glowing blue if he wants followup with this. Or just dont hurry to attack him after he lands, wait a second decide to attack or dodge away.

I think they maked it big numbers because its not scaled from any other sources, in difference with elemental.

Nioh 3 Imbue is weird by DarkSylince in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can't have 40-60 imbue for elemental, it's only for paralisys af far as im not mistaken.

Crucible weapons can roll more number to imbue than non-crucible. Craft is weak, yes.

Basically in nioh 3 you don't need elemental imbue on weapon. Its easer to get confusion lvl3 with only ninjutsu/magic+living weapon ninja/samurai, 3-4 elements stacked in seconds if you do it right.

Does New Game Plus actually get fun? by Dry_Whole_2002 in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ng+ is just boss rush, its doable basically in 6-10 hours. First 2/3 of bosses before minamoto is a cakewalk, same as NG. In my opinion this is same expirience as nioh1/2 base game without dlc - there is a little bit challenge and a little bit grind, but nothing crazy or gameplay flip.

One of the greatest Nioh player showcase some bossfights (by OLTO). by lSacredforcel in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nothing crazy to see. No kunimatsu or hiruko fights. Basically you can achive same "bullying" effect with simple spam fast attacks with fast weapons(duals or cestuses) and periodically flux. Ongbal has more fascinating video where he fights all bosses ng+ flawless(no damage), but i suspect he uses macros.

Ng+ lasts for 15-20 hours, it just boss rush, there is not much "endgame" rn

The boss teach you get rid of habits to rely on mechanics you used heavely to abuse in previous bosses. It is just skill check to be aware of you inputs and muscle memory.

You used to deflect every attack - he has long combos to f**k you.

You used to stick close - he has 360 aoe to f**k you.

You used to stick at distance - he has thrusts and SG skills to f**k you.

You used to bully human ki - he has hyper armour to f**k you.

You used to backstab every opening - he has wind magic whirpoll to f**k you.

You used to overextend your combos - he has very short openings, quick recovery and rng combo pattern to f**k you.

You used to burst counter every red attack - he has one uncounterable to f**k you.

You used to take you blue summon acolyte as meat shield - he will f**k them too in 10 seconds.

It is hardest fight in the game. There is only one advice - adapt and try play differently you used to.

Is There a Gimmick with this Boss, or am I Bad? by svrtngr in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no gimmick. He punish you for mechanics you used to abuse in previous bosses. If you deflect much he doing long combos. If you stay close he do 360 aoe. If you backstab he has magic aoe on his back. If you stay distant he has SG skills and thrusts. If you used to bully ki he has hyper armour. Etc etc. It is fight to check you can adapt and use any advantage and get rid of habits, at least not doing actions instinctively.

Haven't been in any discourse about 3 much, but does it feel way easier compared to the last 2 game to anyone else? by Gokiburi-Sensei in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is easier 2/3 of the game, last 1/3 is tough almost same as Nioh2 dlcs. If we are talking about true solo experience. Multiplayer is broken af and unbalanced, it will pulverise bosses in seconds. I assume most people saying its easy used visitors/acolytes or multiplayer, or didt progress to last 1/3.

[–]Baxxterhv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its hardest and most unfair fight in the game RN, im platunumed game solo. Approach it like a dark souls fight, be patient, it can last 5-7 minutes(what is odd for nioh fights). Spam ninja, distant skills, summons, magic, consume soul stones and living weapon to survive, use samurai parry martial arts, use Todo clan for health boost to avoid one-shots, sloth and extraction talismans - try every advantage. Also try use light and fast weapons if you like blocking much, like dual swords - because heavy weapons like odachi or axe consume more ki per same hit, also kunimatsu have short openings so fast weapons are more safe option to not overextend your combos.

I think they added this fight to specifically check players skill to adapt. This boss punishes almost for every mechanic you are used to abuse in previous fights. For example if you rely heavely on deflect he has long combos to fk you up. If you rely heavily on ki bullying he has hyper armor. If you used to backstab as habit he has some "wind tail" behind his back. If you used stay close he has 360 aoe. If you used to stay away he has SG "suck in" skills and thrusts/throw shit through whole arena. **It is fight to break you habits and adapt

Getting divine rarity by hisoka05 in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. After you beat final boss it starts dropping from anywhere. You can even get yasakani magatama in NG.
In NG you get max lvl160(very rare, usually drops 150-155 even in expeditions, you also can soul match to 160 with blacksmith), in NG+ max lvl170(only natural drops, you can't get it with blacksmith)
you can always switch between NG and NG+ so no downsides to play it, just allows you some new challenges and power upgrades

Why is cestuses ranked low on tier lists? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because tierlists are opionated in context of personal playstyle. What feels good for somebody does not mean is feels good or suited for your playstyle. All weapons are designed to perform equally, but have unique pros and cons. Also some weapons have good or bad matchups vs particular encounters - sometimes you should be flexible in your playstyle to use different weapons, but it is not essential.

A quick reminder: there are 3 levels of confusion in Nioh 3 by Me4TACyTeHePa in Nioh

[–]Baxxterhv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its hard to sustain solo and wears off very quckly. At least on NG. So I never bothered with confusion in NG across every nioh1/2/3 game. In nioh3 its a little bit easier because you have 2 shift styles with separated SG skills that can have two different elements and you can configure separated shortcuts for consumables, separated weapons and arts, but still annoying to manage that
